Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry cited discredited claims by his foreign policy advisor Joseph Wilson on Sunday, reasserting that President Bush misled America by invoking British intelligence that Iraq sought uranium from Africa during his January 2003 State of the Union Address.
"I've said many times that the president misled America," Kerry told Fox News Sunday's Chris Wallace.
"I'm saying the administration made comments that they were warned and knew better in the making. And that's been now documented - about the nuclear materials that came from Africa." In fact, the recently released Senate Intelligence Committee report on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, as well as an intelligence review by Britain's Lord Butler, have confirmed that Iraq had indeed sought uranium from Niger.
"Nigerien officials admitted that the Iraqi delegation had traveled there in 1999 and that the Nigerien prime minister believed the Iraqis were interested in purchasing uranium," the Senate report said.
When asked if President Bush's statements were "lies," Kerry said, "You're fighting to get me to say a word I have not used and I'm not going to use. They mislead America. Whether it was intentional or not is up to American people to decide."
Bush made an appearance at Oak Ridge where he stood next to tons of enrichable Uranium taken from Libya as a consequence of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The media did not mention the U-235 and passed of the appearance as a desparate appeal for voters in a swing state.
So it seems that the media can make WMD magically disappear if they so choose.
Indeed not
bump
He's a liberal afterall, so that's not surprising
The seeking of uranium in Niger was confirmed by other sources, including the intelligence services of the FRENCH. So Bush is taking the French seriously, and Kerry is not!!! This is a laugh riot!
John Kerry: A liar who accuses others of lying.
I don't know if Wallace did, but Newt did, very effectively, a few minutes later. Newt was on his game, and on Kerry's ass.
I have to watch FOX News later this afternoon when it is repeated on FNC. I didn't get up till after 9:30 am this morning
Another Kerry flip-flop. Joseph Wilson was/is Kerry's advisor, and now he disses him?
Glad I'm not in the Kerry camp. Wouldn't know from minute to minute where I stood. Wait a minute- that is also a thumbnail sketch of my marriage.... Oh, Well.
No, Wallace had his kneepads on today. He could have easily shot Kerry lies down.
But he didn't...gotta be "fair and balanced," you know...
Or, would have if they ever showed up for work!
At the debates. Bush and Cheney will make mince meat out of the Manicured Candidates.
When have you ever heard a liberal tell the truth?
Saddam Hussein is a murderous sociopath whose departure from this Earth would be welcomed everywhere.
.
I was never prouder than when the American response was to confront Hussein and ultimately force him from Kuwait.
.
There is now no incentive for Hussein to comply with the inspectors or to refrain from using weapons of mass destruction to defend himself if the United States comes after him.
And he will use them; we should be under no illusion about that.
....
Now, however, if he feels his death is inevitable, he may well arm extremist groups in an attempt to have a last, posthumous laugh.
....
In fact he must have been so sure of Wilson that his campaign actually hosted the above under the restorehonesty part of their website.

This Kerry is another lying clone of Bill Clinton.
Ah but it does. Libya's nuke program was being run by Iraqi nuke scientists and was multi-national involving Iraq Iran North Korea..., with financial and materiel help from Pakistan Saudi Arabia and China. It should come out before the election. John Loftus says that the Uranium that Libya ceded matches a small quantity given up by Sadam earlier to the UN.
