bumpity! bumpity! bumpity!
bump to the top
It's interesting that people gloss over the details and forget the context of the times. I'm sure there were 500 or more people waiting to get into the TNG but that none of them had the qualifications to be a pilot (4 year degree, vision, etc.). If he was using pull, why not get a billet in logistics or administration?
Here is another contrast I like and maybe someone can fill in the missing number. When Kerry joined the Navy, the TOTAL count of Navy KIA was THREE. What was the death rate from training accidents for a pilot candidate?
Thanks for the ping and the excellent posts.
This is what Sean Hannity and Ed Gillespie should be talking about, but isn't. No more "John Kerry was a war hero" crap!
Excellent find, thanks for posting. This article clarifies even more some of the "fuzziness" that the press has created about Bush's service.
It's going into my files - and to those of my friends.
Veterany postavili pod somnenie geroizm Johna Kerry (Veterans cast doubt on John Kerry's heroism)
Thanks for the ping, please keep me in.
While suturing a laceration on the hand of a 70-year-old Massachusetts farmer (whose hand had been caught in a fence while working), a doctor and the old man were talking about Senator John Kerry possibly being in the White House one day.
The old farmer said, "Well, ya know, Kerry is a 'post turtle'."
Not knowing what the old man meant, the doctor asked him what a post turtle was.
The old man said, "When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle."
The old man saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain, "You know he didn't get there by himself, he doesn't belong there, he can't get anything done while he's up there, and you just want to help the poor stupid %*%* get down."
BTTT!!!!!!
Get the military info out there then his record in the senate ect. What we need is to keep Kerry off-balance, to make him to explain his views on everything, go after his weakness and allow him to portray HIMSELF as the dishonest twit he really is.
I have been wondering about his actual service/combat patrol time also. Anyone else that can shed some light on this?
I agree totally with your post. Ever since Kerry has been campaining on his "war record" I have believed that his Purple Hearts and the Silver Star were bogus awards that he had initiated himself. I am glad that others believ this too.
Let's not forget Kerry's being AWOL from the US Senate much of the time!!!
As a former naval officer and Vietnam veteran, I offer the following observations on Kerry's Purple Hearts:
Kerry's first PH seems very questionable since it was not due to hostile fire and his superior, LCDR Hibbard, refused to approve it. When Kerry was transferred to another unit, it was approved mysteriously.
Kerry's first PH was approved on Feb 28, 1969 by USNAVSUPACT, Saigon on Feb 28 for injuries received on Dec 2, 1968; his second PH was approved on March 5 for injuries received on Feb 20; and the third PH was approved on 17 April for injuries received on March 13.
It took almost 3 months to process the first PH, two weeks for the second one; and a little over a month for the third. This chronology bears out Hibbard's story.
It is interesting to note that COMCOSRON ONE requested Kerry's reassignment to CONUS based on 3 PHs on March 17, four days after his last PH injury on March 13. Kerry departed March 26, even before the official approval of April 17 was issued. To say that it is remarkable that someone could suffer injuries warranting 3 PHs in a little over 3 months and never be hospitalized is an understatement. It just doesn't pass the smell test.
This information comes from the released official records, so stamped, by Kerry.
That's said to be a faked photo. Kerry wasn't there.
