NEW YORK - The ACLU withdrew Saturday from a program that allows federal workers and military personnel to contribute to charities because it requires participating nonprofit groups to check their employees' names against a government watch list of suspected terrorists.

I agree 100% with the ACLU - they should NEVER receive feeral money.
Come to think of it --- neither should anyone else be on a federal welfare program --- persons --- cities --- states --- nor corporations!
The American Criminal Liberties Union is at it again.
A while back, LAX decided that the cost of complying with Federal Regulations was higher than the amount of money they received from the Federal Government. So they tried to reject the money.
As I understand it, Congress passed a special law that forced them to accept Federal money. It was the most bizarre thing I ever heard.
Kerry cant wait to get his grubby paws and Homeland Security and The 'Patriot" Act...
imo
Thanks for the ping!
ACLU = All Communists Laughing at Us
Well....don't you think terrorists working for charities should have their rights protected, too? I mean, think of all those muslim charities out there that might have perfectly innocent hiding terrorists on the payroll -- helping to pass along terrorist traditions, training in terrorist techniques, guiding in the raising of terrorist money. It's for the children!
Let's face it....if the Lion's Club gets money so kids can have their sight restored, then who are we to say Ahmed shouldn't learn the 12 steps to acquire 70 virgins?
Bump!
