Last poll I heard was on FOX. It gave Kerry only a 2.8 bounce. Newsweek has always had a problem with their far left wing kook factor. My guess is it was closer to the 2. It's more Kerryesk.
The problem is the missing link. There's Kerry 35 years ago, and Kerry in 2004 (psychically, anyway. Mentally is questionable). There's nothing in between. Na da. Zilch. Where was he? Did he flee to Communist Red China?
Fox has Kerry's bounce as 2.8?! Wow! I haven't had Fox on much today and not at all tonight. Thanks!
Did you get that FOX poll data from the website or the tv? Just want to know so I can find it. Thanks
Dick Morris really hit on this hard the other day. His quote about Kerry was a classic:
"His autobiography ends at the age of 24."
Oh, give the man a little credit. He DID attend 11 out of 48 of the Senate Intelligence Committee public meetings (the ones in which attendance is recorded). Imagine what might have happened to our Republic if he didn't show up at all!!
He reported for duty Wed. though. Dumbest move I think I've ever seen. = What's your sign pretty lady?
The basic problem is the Democratic Convention looked and sounded like a 1964 Convention. From the atmospherics, tone, and message, one got the feeling one was living back in the 1960s. The candidate himself dwelled on his four months in Vietnam. No one got a sense this was a party looking ahead to the future or that it was even in the 21st Century at all. Eight years ago President Clinton boasted of building a bridge to the 21st Century. John F*ckin' wanted to time travel back to 1969. Weird. It made me feel like I was in a "Quantum Leap" episode and if the whole thing seemed like it was retro, the music helped to complete the nostalgia. The Democrats are stuck in the 60s reliving Vietnam while the rest us are concerned with 9/11 and Islamofascist terrorism in the new millenium. No wonder Kerry didn't get a bounce.
2.8 percent - is that with a 4 point margin of error?!!!!
