If an attack has to happen, I hope the attackers are dumb enough to do it before November. Unless it comes as a result of a major administration screwup, it's practically a guarantee of a Bush reelection.
I know that they still keep talking about airplanes, but this is the sort of attack that is more realistic. A few rogue individuals laidened with explosives walking into lobbies and blowing themselves up in 8 to 9am hour.
Only information really needed to pass along is the date and rough time frame, if you wish to have something semi large. Next to impossible to stop the "lone wolf"....

Particularly disturbing to authorities were the intelligence reports that the attack may involve one or more suicide truck bombings, a tactic never seen in the United States, but one widely used by terrorists elsewhere.
"I think they want to try and shake our psyche again," says Jerry Hauer, an ABC News consultant and former director of New York City's Office of Emergency Management. "And I think the easy types of attacks right now are car bombs, truck bombs."

Methinks there should be a suspension of the silly gun laws in NYC to get the population involved in their own safety.
Didn't the authorities pick off a terrorist in Texas with a plane ticket for NYC a week or two ago? Then there was that flight from Chicago that was obviously cased by an AQ team. IMO, they are going to try to hit the Republican Convention, by ground and possibly by air, while GW is there. Presumably, they will have secondary targets if they can't get close enough to the convention center.
If this happens, it would guarantee a Bush landslide.
