"The oil age will last until replaced by the Fusion Age." There is a laboratory in Palo Alto, California, with some badly bent steel columns that illustrate that we are actually past the "fusion" age, but don't really know yet what it is that has been found.

The longer we can hold out with oil the more advanced the technology to replace it will be. Oil is cheap compared to all the other energy sources, so drill, drill. drill !
