I think that there is a judge who needs to be impeached as well, unless he is completely exonerated by some officers swearing out false affidavits. Even so, it is time some judges learned to ask a few questions, and maybe even to say no upon occasion.
Quick! Quick! Some jackboots for you to lick!
Fire them all.
You know, it was amazing at the speed at which the name and address of that INS officer carrying Elian Gonzales was put up on the internet after that particular incident.
All this was done warrant-less? I'd hate to see a cop come in through my door without being invited or w/o a warrant after I'm asleep. Matters would not end so peaceably. Remember, NEVER INVITE A COP INTO YOUR HOME. It implicitly gives him the right to search your domicile. Any issues can be discussed outside, on your property. The police captain, the mayor, and the entire city council need to tossed out and those citizens violated should sue on Constitutional grounds. It's a simple violation of the search and seizure amendment, for starters. This is OUTRAGEOUS!!! More to come if Kerry/Edwards get elected.
tru peace...D
The alleged police reaction kinda makes you wonder about the real motive behind the shooting of the LEO that kicked this off. Maybe somebody had had enough.
BTTT
This crap needs to stop and someone needs to go to jail (Police Chief), or there needs to be armed inssurrection to stop it.
This is intolerable.
Waiting for the resident goons to chime in...
Given that one has the right to resist an unlawful action, I wonder what would have happened if some citizen had shot one of the criminals that had broken into his or her home looking for guns? Legally, that citizen would have been on firm ground, but practically speaking, he/she would've come out of their home in a body bag.
The cops are lucky that this was in Wussyconsin.* Had it been in any number of southern or western states, there'd have been a bunch of dead guys in blue uniforms. Of course, had that been the case, I doubt that such a circumstance would have arisen, but that's a different story.
The chief and all police involved need to be fired FOR CAUSE, stripped of their pensions and sued into bankruptcy. Any lesser result will only encourage similar actions by other forces.
* No offense to the many brave, decent and freedom-loving Wisconsin citizens intended, but the mere presence of the UW-Madison in your state leads to such generalizations.
