"What long fingernails Mr. Kerry has!"
Since you posted it first I noticed that to. But the long finger nails are only long on one hand. Whats up with that?
My personal taste, I can't stand men with purchased service manicured finger nails. I know, I'm being nit picky but it's so unmanly to me. ewwww It shows me the man is too above picking up a tool in the garage or whatever. Soft plush hands on a man (lazy) grosses me out.

If it's only in one hand, that means he plays guitar. I heard he likes to play Spanish guitar in his spare time

But the long finger nails are only long on one hand. Whats up with that? Well, he does play classical guitar so generally your left hand fingernails would be trimmed close for fretting and your right hand fingernails would be longer for picking your strings.

Long nails on one hand might mean he's a guitar player. . .

Classical guitar players keep the nails long on the right hand (for right-handed playing), since you don't use picks.
You use the thumb to downstroke on the E, A and D strings, and the index, middle and ring fingers to upstroke on the G, B and E strings, respectively.

I spent 12 years studying classical guitar, and I still stink. I am the worst guitar player in the world.
