It was Aruanan's dad who was the WW2 coastie, i was just chasing mom & pop in smallboats & fixing buoys in peacetime.
The coast guard are not the wimps many seem to think they are when called on.

And the Coast Guard is, of the branches of military service, one of the most difficult to get into.
