"
I haven't seen this mentioned yet, but that "Reporting for duty" was a SLAM on Bush's National Guard record on what dims think about him not showing up!"
Which, outside of Dimocrat Party circles, is biting J. Effin Kerry on his butt, big time.
The fact that only two of the twenty or so, that served with him actually support his candidacy.
The fact that he asked to be returned stateside after his third "wound" [?] thereby not serving the one year time period, and was the only Swift Boat member to do so other than those who suffered grievous wounds or were killed.
The fact that Mr. Kerry is not an American patriot, in spite of his self made vidios, medals and rhetoric will be fully known before November 2nd..

Neither Kerry, nor Edwards can make a decent speech because they have nothing to run on. After more than 20 years in the Senate, all Kerry talks about is four months in Vietnam 30+ years ago! Of course, he is trying to run away from his liberal record and his "wishy-washy" flip flops on issues. He criticizes President Bush, but I've never heard any alternatives put forth.
Edwards' "pretty face" doesn't do much for the average voter (Therezza is anything but normal) and he has less than one term experience in the Senate. Other than that, he is nothing but a conniving shuyster, so what can he talk about?

Confirms my thoughts that this is a lightweight we are dealing with, and a lazy bum. If I was an heiress, I should wouldn't marry him...
That's not necessarily encouraging. 45% of the public would vote for a mouldering corpse as long as it was an anti-Bush corpse.

Very true. (My tagline)
Also, all the tax cut promises and all the new spending promises and balancing the budget don't add up.
There isn't enough money in the economy for Kerry to meet the promises. It just is not fiscally possible.

Thomas Oliphant IS a liberal and he doesn't think the speech did for John F*ckin.' Its one of those rare times I find myself in complete agreement with someone on the other side of the political divide. The speech was overly long, rushed and stepped on its best lines. Yeah it may have shown Kerry's ability to give one when he absolutely has to but all the same, as an address it wasn't a home run. It won't give him the boost in the polls he was counting on.

Also, look closely at the pinky finger on his right hand during the "salute". It looks as if he's fighting to keep it from extending in a Frenchy, cocktail party way, sort of like a "Grey Poupon" moment. It's as bad as the "salutes" the former democrat occupant of the Oval Office pretended to extend to the USMC helicopter pilots and crew. Plus the pricelessly goofy look on his ugly mug is worth the cost of admission. This guy truly is a goof.

He was scared and nervous, no doubt, and doesn't have one shred of confidence. Agreed. I think it dawned on him that he was out of his league and he was fighting a panic attack............................

OK, so the democrat media hacks are criticizing kerry's speech this morning.
So what.
They'll be back in full campaign mode for john/john within days.
The only reason for their slight criticism early on is so they can point to it later in response to charges that they are biased for the democrats.
Just like in early '93 Big Media was critical of the klyntyn admin. That "critical" behavior allowed them to claim "balance" later on when it was time to re-elect the democrat.

Did anyone else see Mama T at the fireworks? She reached way behind her, grabbed Kerry by the butt, pulled him around and back to her! She played air violin, clapped to the music with timing way off...and nearly fell down not once, but twice. Bizarre!

We see a pattern developing. The liberal press and some broadcast media seem to be turning away from Kerry. [Hillary directive?]Gary Sinise. Meryl Streep. Denzel Washington.

Personally, I think he rushed because he was trying to fit a too long speech into a too short time period. The DNC picked the 10:00 hour. Kerry was afraid the networks would cut out at 11:00 pm. So, he hurried, hurried, hurried. And looked and sounded terrible.
Besides the sweating and the fact that he looked uncomfortable, there were parts of the speech that were so poorly written that they didn't make any sense.
He switched topics like crazy sometimes without a strong segue. It was hard to keep up with him.
My mouth fell open while listening to it. I couldn't believe that he was failing so bad. And again, it was a house made out of cards. There is nothing he said that won't be easily refuted. There is nothing he said that won't come back to bite him in the butt.
As for his threat that the President had better take the high road - that's DNC speak for "you had better not bring up my record."
It was stagecraft without purpose. All photo op and no substance. It was very bad.
