Both the Kennedy faction and the Clinton faction both have deep and old roots on organized crime. The Kennedy's Pop-pa Joe made the family fortune by running Irish whiskey into the US during Prohibition and returning weapons to the IRA. The Clinton's are from the Mafia playground of Hot Springs and cash cow of Chicago.
Some other notables are Harold Ickes, Jr., who later would become the Clinton White House’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Ralph Scopo, former president of the Cement and Concrete Workers District Council, Laborers International Union. Scopo was the guy convicted with Donnie Shacks!
