I'm not sure it's up to Kerry. I'm sure Kerry would have made it a domestic election if he could. I think he's wearing the hawk mask because he thinks (probably rightly) he has no choice.

The question is: Have people forgotten what the Dems are really like?

I was just thinking about that. I thought he had it removed, but it's still there. Either no doctor in his right mind would do elective surgery on the guy (who would be willing to risk the lawsuit?) or to have it removed would damage the nerves and leave him with a problem with his mouth.
