Now he's moved onto his own glory. Good grief.

Is it me, or is Al ad-libbing now? Sounds like it and they won't be able to get him off the stage untill he wants to go

One thing lacking that I have noticed: no demonstrations. Yup, come GOPCOM in a few weeks, there will be wall to wall coverage of every guy with a big red "A" on a black T-shirt. On any given day in NYC, that is probably about 3% of 8 million. ;-)

Chris Matthews just broke into Sharpton's garbage:
Sharpton began his political career based on a lie (Tawana Brawley)
Fineman and Goodwin trashing the speech.
To: finnman69
MSNBC all specualkting hes adlibbing like crazy. MSNBC called the sppech like chalk screeching on a chalkboard. Fineman says giving Shaprton this much time is an insult to African American voters.

There are lots of Republicans buried at Gettysburg, who died to end slavery.
To: cyncooper
He's already used up the next two speakers' times. They're going to have to cut something for Edwards to make the 11:00 news.
Go Al Go!

Freedom was a Republican thing - the Rats fought it every step. Still is. IMho, Reps shouldn't lift a finger to court any group, or pretend leaders of a "group". Individual freedom should sell itself.
Here's hoping the Republican Convention won't be a pandering episode.

I often wondered what Al's agenda was in running for office knowing he had not a chance. Was it simply to get him to this speech!
