And now, for no particular reason, the Middlesex County 4-H Fife and Drum Corps playing Yankee Doodle and a medley of Revolutionary tunes.
We never had a drum and fife when I was in 4-H.. We were the LaGrande Busy Bees. :-\
They're better than the house band.
This is the best music of the convention, so far.
Steve Westly - Demo State Controller of California
If only our state GOP could have funded Tom McClintock instead of the RINO loser Bruce McPherson for Lt Gov.
I hear ya..
she was on the campaign trail with him and kids last go around
It's a heckva lot better than having to hear KC and the Sunshine band play Johnny B. Goode for the 43rd time.
You're right--though I think the kids sound and look terrific--it is stuck in there without any preceding context and probably no logical follow up will flow from it.
Even in the 1930's, women had a lot of rights and voices. My aunts & grandmother did "very well" in the job market, no complaints.
C-SPAN just showed a shot of an old delegate guy standing with his hat over his heart. He is probably the last decent delegate at this convention.
LOL! Thanks. Working on a piece right now if I can stand to watch any more.
Getting a standing O from the dozens in the crowd.
Idiot gun-grabber.
And ONE old man delegate with his hat over his heart.
That's what I mean. And now, following that, we have Carolyn McCarthy talking about the murder of her husband.
Here we go! Time for the gun grabbers..
DRINK
Carolyn McCarthy up following the young 4-Hers (no context)
and immediately launches into her personal tragedy and how she parlayed that into the first assault weapons ban and how John Kerry stood with them and now she stands with him.
"The next president of the United States", said in a tone that could not have been much duller and a much more tepid response.
Oh my! "We don't have to go to Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction. They're here in our communities."
There is no logical order to this program. I think they just told everyone to sign up for a slot and talk about whatever.
