Kerry Home Video Clips of Vietnam Released
Drudge Report ^ | 7-28-04 | Bronco_Buster_FweetHyagh

Kerry carried a an 8-mm home movie camera with him to Vietnam so he could record his war exploits, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. The clips will debut during the intro of Kerry at convention...

TOPICS: Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: kerry; video; vietnam; vietnamvideo
Didn't Kerry make attempts to run for office before he went to Vietnam? Then, in Vietnam, he gets three purple hearts as fast as possible (maybe faster than anyone else in Vietnam), uses the 3-injury rule to go home, and returns right to politics?

Why is it no surprise that he brought a camera too?

Seems like Kerry's going to Vietnam was part of his political plotting from the very beginning. That would help explain why he bugged out after getting three very questionable purple heart medals...

I am surprised that this is news to Drudge. It is old news to most of us. It is obvious that Kerry had political ambitions from the git go and was there burnishing his image, which is why he fabricated PHs from non-hostile sources. The guy is a fraud.

John Kerry has a long history as a clymer. I believe admiral Zumwalt commented that Kerry's ambition for politics would lead him into trouble. Michael Medved met Kerry in college and said that Kerry claimed then that he would be president some day.

I think this is exploiting a terrible moment in US history, the Vietnam war. Actually showing pictures of an event where people died! Disgraceful.

/sarcasm off

I for one am awfully tired of the kerry camp commenting that he didn't use his wealthy connections to get out of going to Iraq. That seems to indicate that wealth was a requirement for opting in favor of the national gaurds.

I have two uncles who chose the national gaurd over Vietnam. My grandfather was not wealthy or connected. he supported 5 kids on a small town electricians salary.

Some people who were in a position to know said the President got into the TANG because he was willing to server the two years of active duty required. Very few others were.

We had virtually to straight-jacket [Kerry] to keep him under control (Admiral Zumwalt on Kerry)

He now makes much of his decorations from the war in Vietnam, to appeal to centrists and conservatives, without reminding those audiences that he for long was a leader of Vietnam veterans against the war. Indeed, assiduous searchers, looking for his vulnerabilities, will find much of interest in that period of his life. For example, the fabled and distinguished chief of naval operations (CNO), Admiral Elmo Zumwalt, told me -- 30 years ago when he was still CNO -- that during his own command of US naval forces in Vietnam, just prior to his anointment as CNO, young Kerry had created great problems for him and the other top brass, by killing so many non-combatant civilians and going after other non-military targets.

"We had virtually to straight-jacket him to keep him under control," the admiral said. "Bud" Zumwalt got it right when he assessed Kerry as having large ambitions -- but promised that his career in Vietnam would haunt him if he were ever on the national stage.

The footage he took was staged. He returned to the (now safe) area where he had seen some action and walked around holding a rifle. He has used this footage ever since to impress women and now he hopes to use it to impress enough women to propel him into the presidency.

My husband also volunteered for the Air National Guard in 1967, he was a student at Ohio State. He had absolutely no connections. He also was placed on active duty when the USS Pueblo was seized by North Korea in 1968. He was in Korea 13 months. We both got a good laugh out of this when we heard it.

Does it show him brutally raping and torturing the enemy soldier, using electric wires attached to their genitalia -- as he admitted to doing?

You know if I got wounded, I would pass the camera to my buddy and say "get this on tape" So do you think we will see his Purple Heart worthy injuries?
