Earlier this morning, Don Imus, while speaking to Sen. Joe Lieberman, said that he believes it would now be better for Saddam to be back in power than the new Iraqi government because Saddam "is tanned, fit, and rested, kinda like Nixon back in '68."
This is truly disgusting and vile. While Joe Lieberman made a very good case for the war in Iraq, he did not react in any way to Imus's comments. Imus obviously believes that he prefers that Iraqis be tortured, raped, mutiliated, murderered, and dumped into mass graves. He seriously thinks that would be "cool."
While it is well known that Don Imus supports John F'ing Kerry, the comments this morning were truly the worst kind of venom anyone can spew.
I urge everyone who reads this to complain to Viacom and MSNBC. Furthermore, I urge everyone not just to quit watching, but remove MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, PBS, and CNBC from your satellite or digital cable recievers. Most recievers allow users to edit the main channel menu.
These organizations HATE America, and they only way to get rid of them is not to watch.
Thanks.

Imus is a moron, I stopped listening to the self centered idiot years ago.
There should be a movement afoot to ask Imus to hang up his microphone. He's old news, in every sense of the word.
I didn't hear it, and I'm no fan of Imus, but from the quote, I have to assume that Imus was joking. It's true that Sadaam looked a lot better in his court appearance than when he was fished out of his hole, but that's no reason to think it would be good for him to be back in office.
Welcome to Free Republic. If we stop watching these dingalings who are we gonna make fun of? Work for fox do we?
Well, this is good. If this is his opinion, and he supports Kerry, then this helps to define Kerry's position on the subject.
Yea, I saw that, too.
FLASHBACKS -- This Iraqi man is receiving members of his family cut into pieces
and placed in six cotton bags.
These murders were approved by Annan and the UN for decades.
The actual tools used in Saddam's torturing chambers as approved by Annan and the UN for decades.
Baghdad - Iraqi Olympic Committee shows torture equipment
used by Uday before Iraq's liberation by America
In Baghdad, Iraq, an Iraqi Olympic Committee official
demonstrates a steel mask and other torture equipment at Al-Shaab Stadium, Saturday, July 24, 2004.
These torture devices were routinely used by Saddam Hussein's son, Uday,
to torture Olympic athletes whose performance failed to meet his expectations.
Only America stopped this torture. The mainstream media is silent.
Cocaine dreams arise again !!
Welcome to FR.
BTW, you'll probably be asked to spell your screen name a lot. "Is that OompaLoompaDoompadeeDoo with 8 O's or 9?"
It was obviously a joke. If you don't like that kind of humor, or don't find it funny, turn off Imus.
I don't know what's worse--Imus saying that, or the fact that Joe Lieberman, a Democrat, is actually on our side here.
These folks are all the same, just want their OWN peace no matter who's getting killed, they want to feel as if all the world is calm and in harmony, and they know deep down that is impossible but they're willing to fake it to get the feeling they want to make their little world seem peaceful.
Do you work at a chocolate factory by any chance?
Only had to see the top of the first picture and knew it was you.
Good job!
And also his news announcer Charles, should have his picture in the dictionary as the definition of the phrase "suck up".
Imus is now known as 'Im-Ass'! Got fed up with his schtick some time ago. Turn him off.
He is, like a previous poster said, a moron. Both he and Bernard bought the bs hook, line and sinker and there is no hope for recovery this time.
What do you expect to come out of the mouth of a person with a fried brain? Imus is proof that idiots will watch and listen to anything.
