PHILADELPHIA - When Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) visited the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Monday, his campaign hoped that the backdrop of the famed shuttle launch site would evoke images of exploration and science.
Instead, the photo that was splashed across the nation's largest tabloid newspapers was less than statesmanlike: Kerry, dressed in a hooded "bunny suit," peering out of the hatch that leads to the space shuttle.
The reaction was merciless. Under a banner headline that read "Spaceman Kerry's goofy photo flub," the New York Post suggested that Kerry looked like the sperm character Woody Allen played in his 1972 comedy, "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex."

If it is a word, I'd imagine you'd need to slap an 'e' in there: pukey.
That's better ;D
I think the Kerry photo is much less flattering than the Dukakis photo...
Maybe John will make a comment about it in his acceptance speech..... ROFL!!!
Great find from one of the greatest movies. Thanks!
Since Dukakis lost in a land slide, the referenced photo cannot be singularly attributed to his loss. But let's hope this one does cost Brear Kerry the election:
Perfect pic for the FReeps!! A big sign that everyone can see at every FReep event!!! That'll do it!
ROTFLAFMOAPMGO!!!!!!!
The Dems have been saying that the American people just haven't gotten to know the "real" (i.e. scripted) Kerry. Now, with this one photo, they are white-with-fright that EVERY American now knows way too much about Kerry.
Sucks to be a Democrat...lol. I just want to see the contrasting photo's, of Kerry in his fake space suit, side-by-side with Bush in a (real, operational) flight suit, on the deck of an operational Aircraft Carrier returning from war, speaking to the throngs of cheering young warriors demonstrating their unabashed admiration for their CIC.

BwaHahAhaHAHAhAHAHHAhAHahAa! i have to go tinkle! My bladder is about to burst!
I don't think that it was the photo. It was the news footage of Dukakis riding in the tank and waving to supporters as if he was a seven-year-old in the Dumbo ride at Disneyland. That footage was used in a Bush/Quayle campaign ad with superimposed text of a statement that he had made about reducing military spending.
Uh...what does that stand for?
I was wondering the same thing. What a dizzying Acronym.
I don't think so. But the Dems' fit over the publishing of the pic does show why it was such a big honking deal about Bush showing up on a carrier in full flyboy regalia.
It's really the Dim's hissyfit over it that makes it so funny... other than the fact that he looks like such a dweeby fag. LOL!
ROFL!
I like that picture too....
Caption.....Bunny mans a Gun!!!
OMG It just occurred to me that Kerry is showing up everywhere but in a different costume Bicycle Flame Boy,
Ski Bunny Man, Neighborhood Front porch party boy......ect.
Who else do we all know is everywhere at the same time damg can't think of his name but he first showed up on the roof of the twin towers and the joke just snowballed from there the guy with the ski hat and backpack can't remember what we called him.
It seems Kerry has officially took his place.
Pretty much. It has come to ma attention that over at DU the suggestion is retaliation by posting a pic of GWB in a kimono.
For the record, it wasn't a kimono but a handmade silk shirt, which all leaders attending the APEC summit of Racific Rim countries are asked to wear. eg Bush, Australia's Howard, Malaysia's Mahathir at the Thailand summit
Why? I don't know but tradition of putting world leaders in funny shirts at these summints is established. Maybe it;s to see which ones can carry it of without looking like a dork.
I know what you are referring to....was it traveler?
