Image of Kerry Disrupts Carefully Choreographed Photo-Op

PHILADELPHIA - When Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) visited the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Monday, his campaign hoped that the backdrop of the famed shuttle launch site would evoke images of exploration and science.
Instead, the photo that was splashed across the nation's largest tabloid newspapers was less than statesmanlike: Kerry, dressed in a hooded "bunny suit," peering out of the hatch that leads to the space shuttle.
The reaction was merciless. Under a banner headline that read "Spaceman Kerry's goofy photo flub," the New York Post suggested that Kerry looked like the sperm character Woody Allen played in his 1972 comedy, "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex."

Is this guy presidential material? Is this the image we want the world to associate with our President? Can you imagine him addressing the U.N. with the delegates remembering him in this pose? The fact that Kerry was so stupid to allow himself to get into this situation and pose for the photos during the convention says millions. Why did he not tell his managers that this is not acceptable? Is he too weak? Are they directing his every move? Whey are they so naive as to the implication of this kind of publicity? If Kerry is so stupid to allow this to happen to him, he is not qualified to be president, or in the Senate.

What was so hilarious about Dukakis in the tank was the way his ear protector flaps would stand straight out when the tank whirled around. I think that picture did a lot to keep him from being elected. The dims are trying to find things to ridicule Bush about in the same way. A lot of people don't look any closer at the candidate than that.

I was somewhat of a fan at the time. That ended several years ago.

While I hate Kerry, and agree he does look goofy in that picture... there is a difference between this one and the Dukakus one... Dukakis CHOSE to put on that stupid helmet... Kerry had to wear the clean suit to go into the area....
I don't think anyone looks good in one of those things... yes it will make some good fodder, but that's about all. But this is politics so who knows.

ROFL!!!
That stirred the cobwebs in my memory banks!
Where did you find that?
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
I think it was sometime last year .. or maybe the year before that a Freeper posted that on a thread about Carter.
In between laughing on the floor, I remembered to save it :0)
I wish I could remember the Freepers name, to give proper credit, but I can't :0(

Cloud William, last night, came up with the term "Wrong Stuff". Now, Brett 66 has put together the great pictorial and Cloud William's excellent word message below:

This is a riot, an older and no longer very wise female relative said when the Carter/rabbit story came out, "God works in strange and mysterious ways!"
Then she said the same when the Dukakakah tank picture came out.
She was right, and I told Risk about this about an hour ago.
MO1, thanks for finding the story about the killer swamp rabbit scaring ole Jimmy. That scared a lot of moderate/independent voters to vote for Ronald Reagan who wasn't scared of the USSR nor rabbits.

If there were only some way to get this out to the public. Kerry in his Spandex tights on his racing bike, President Bush chopping down cedars. The Gay Pretender versus the Real Deal. Thank you, Samwise.
