Kerry plans to invade Boston by sea / Carville says none dare criticize Kerry
Washington Times ^ | 7/28/04

PHILADELPHIA -- Democratic National Convention headliner John Kerry plans to make his grand entrance into Boston late this morning by water taxi.
The convention is steeped in the image of Mr. Kerry's service in Vietnam, and the pending nominee's arrival will fit the theme.
Mr. Kerry, who commanded a Navy swift boat in the Vietnam War, will travel across Boston's harbor to Charlestown Navy Yard with several of his former crewmates, and then hold a rally.
The Charlestown Navy Yard closed in 1974, but part of it has become a national park. It is home of the USS Constitution, the oldest commissioned ship afloat in the world.

Carville says none dare criticize Kerry
BOSTON -- Democrats are so set on unity this year that Democrats in Congress know better than to say anything that sounds like a criticism of Sen. John Kerry, lest they face a primary challenge next time.
"The big news is, no Democratic politician dare say anything, because they will get primaried," James Carville, political strategist and one of the masterminds behind Bill Clinton's 1992 election, said yesterday.
"I've never seen things like this," he said. "I was talking to a group of Democratic congressman, and if you're in the Congress, you're a Democrat and you say something mildly critical, you'll get primaried next time."
Speaking to reporters at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor here yesterday, Mr. Carville said a victory for Mr. Kerry is about as certain as something can be in politics.
"I think if Bush wins this race, it would be the greatest political achievement of my lifetime. I'll say it right now," he said. "If they do it, it will be one brilliant campaign."

Well carville, kerry, eat your own history!!!!

kerry, testimony before Congress, 22 April, 1971, kerry says, "I have been to Paris. I have talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that is to say the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government,...."*(not on any authorised mission by the U.S. Government or by the U.S. military, kerry and his VVAW group meets and negotiates with the then enemy).

*excerpted from the Official U.S. Congressional Record dated 22 April, 1971.

"revamp the U.S. military", read as kerry's plan to PURGE the U.S. Military of Pro U.S. Military Veterans and Republicans, make it totally dependant on U.N. forces support for any significant achievement capable military(similar to france, germany, etc.), Turn home based U.S. Armed Forces, Intelligence agencies and Law Enforcement agencies into the democratic party's{including CPUSA and DSA} Praetorian Guard!!!!

kerry stabbed U.S. in the back continually since his return from Viet Nam. How much more backstabbing from this 22 April, 1971 testimony(self confessed traitor) before Congress that he(kerry) met with the then enemy in Paris, are we supposed to stand????

:*)

And as for your taglne-ME TOO!

But ya know Grammy, Kerry arriving by sea (floating rolls royce?) provides such an opportunity for FReeping! Can't ya just envision rubber dolphins bearing Flipper's name lining the shoreline to greet this world class flip flopper-oh my gosh! LOL!! T'would be so perfect!

Was sleepless in Indy tonight and listening to a radio station-only wish I knew the names of the host and his guest-but they were talking about how the press crushes the immense successs of Iraq by their daily grinding down of our efforts. The guest spoke to the Vietnam experience and how Walter Cronkite, by MISREPORTING our WINNING of the Tet Offensive, lying as it were (this guest said we won hugely there) changed the course of the war, and changed America forever.

He said that in a two week period the N Vietnamese lost more than fifty thousand troops-more than America suffered during our entire effort there. That immediately after Tet-they had virtually lost the war.

He went on to say, that because of press, constantly crushing and misrepresenting the war, the moral and staying power of America was eroded. But this guest blamed Walter Cronkite , in particular, over and over.

And that they are doing the same now regarding Iraq. The liberal press, led by Walter Cronkrite during Vietnam, literally wore us down, not our sworn enemy overseas. ANd they are doing it again. We must stop them.

I believe this. I never knew about Walter Cronkite's big lie. I never knew we were winning back then. . I did know, that as this guest said, the war with Iraq was so technically brilliant that text books are being written about it.

I don't think I have ever been more disgusted with our press, demoralizing our nation and troops is so much worse than their constant support of bill clinton.

As to this article...poor james carville, with bedfellows like bruce lindsey and sid blumenthal, his life in the corrupt lane is cast in cement.

Carville says that a Kerry victory is about as certain as anything can be in politics. What does he know that the rest of us don't? An October surprise?

HAAA HA HA HA HA HAAA!!!

What an asshole! Is he gonna be ensconced in camo and wearing face-paint?

Why don't they land and re-enact the planting of the flag on Mt. Surabachi... with fireworks!

The jack-ass has ridden this Viet Nam BS into the ground. Too many Americans know that he is only a war hero in the minds of the North Vietnamese!

Somebody get me a puke bucket!

Well, someone stole my quip about the Captain of the USS Oldsmobile being on board. So I think GWB ought to arrive in NY on the USS Ronald Reagan. I think he ought to fly off the deck of it and land on the street outside the convention and be accompanied in by 1000 marines. This could get fun.

Remember what happened in Baltimore harbor a few months ago (a water taxi flipped during a thunderstorm and several passengers drowned).

Carville says none dare criticize Kerry

Mr. Carville meet Zell Miller, democrat senator and keynote speaker at the Republican convention....

on the other hand Zell isn't worried about getting "primaried" because he's not running for reelection

"And that they are doing the same now regarding Iraq. The liberal press, led by Walter Cronkrite during Vietnam, literally wore us down, not our sworn enemy overseas. ANd they are doing it again. We must stop them."

The only way they get stopped is to compete against them. FNC did it. Now we need a USA Today type newspaper that can do the same thing.

Either false bravado or Carville is trying to energize the GOP base to ensure that Kerry is defeated and Hillary runs in 2008. I tend to believe the latter is the case.
