'Alienated' Arab-Americans flock to Kerry campaign
Washington Times ^ | 7/28/04 | Amy Fagan

BOSTON -- Arab-American delegates, attending the Democratic National Convention in their greatest numbers in years, say many in their community will vote for Sen. John Kerry because they are disillusioned with the current administration.
The Arab-American vote went overwhelmingly to George W. Bush in 2000, but unhappiness with the president's post-September 11 policies is turning those voters to Mr. Kerry, the delegates say.
"He has alienated so many of us," said Newman Abuissa, an Arab-American delegate from Iowa who voted for Mr. Bush in 2000 but became so upset at the administration that he began actively campaigning for the Massachusetts Democrat and eventually ended up here at the convention.
Arab-American "numbers this year look like they'll be the exact opposite" from the 2000 election, said Taleb Salhab, a Florida delegate of Palestinian descent.

"He has alienated so many of us,"

Guess what, Bud? We're not so happy with you, either.

Exactly.

Don't get too comfortable Ms. Abhalima, you may not be staying here for too long, especially if your man flames out this November.

Two words:

Jim McGreevy.

Or, as Bob Grant might say: "Jim McSceevy."

'nuff said.

Had Gore or Kerry been president on 9/11 there would have been Muslims hanging from lamp posts.

One wonders how your average Muslim who takes his religion seriously enough to have a chip on his shoulder over it is going to cast a vote for the feminist, homosexual, atheist party?

Islam takes a negative view of Chritianity, of course, but it takes a far dimmer view of the philosophy of the American Left. Make no mistake about it, Islamists are willing to work with socialists in the short term, in the long term, at least of Islamist fantasy, while we face dhimmi status the feminist, gay, and atheist Left will face execution and erradication.

Dang! Looks like Bush lost the Osama vote.

I can't believe how incompetent the GOP campaign team is.. i.e. to let that constituency get away. I mean.. think of the campaign war chest they could have built (and I DO mean "war" chest).

Oh well, the Kerry-Democrats are nothing if not lucky in their choice of friends. It helps to have no ethics and less patriotism, to be able to fully focus on the priorities that matter, i.e. gaining and sustaining political power. So what if American soldiers and Mariens have died because Muslim fanatics in Iraq were led to believe from Western press coverage, that the U.S. is badly divided politically, and that just a few more body bags would convince U.S. voters to cut in run. I mean.. if that’s the price of regaining the Presidency for the Democrats, the Dem's are more than willing to have American boys pay it. After all, the military must be good for something other than raping little girls and killing babies, i.e... from the "mainstream" lefty-Democrat's point of view.

Yeah right Bush has done such bad things to the Arabs and Muslims...what hog wash. Let em vote Kerry so they can hope to set up their version of shariah. The majority of Americans don't like what Islam stands for these days and are willing to vote their conscience...

Geez.. I never saw the "removed" comments. Did my little narrative get some leftwing-lurking nuts to "out" themselves?

Probably not, but one can only hope.

Excellent anti-Kerry video laying out the VietNam case against him...

Great to forward and spread to the public.

Kerry Fitness Reports in Vietnam Show Him Unfit for Command
(Explodes Central Kerry Campaign Lie)

Kerry’s FITREPs are awash in dings, and some of the reports border on the adverse, particularly his combat FITREPs. The FITREPs convey significant performance problems and suggest problems in conduct, so much so that it is surprising that the campaign chose to release them. This may suggest that the FITREPs held from public view are even more adverse.

In what would customarily be an opportunity for a glowing “swan song” FITREP, the Commanding Officer of USS Gridley (DLG-21) tacitly blasts Kerry on his departure for Swift Boat duty by ranking him significantly below the norm in desirability for virtually every Navy assignment possible -– command, staff, whatever. He is a ship handler who is dinged in ship handling. He is in line for command, but his CO doesn’t want him near the bridge. He is slammed in all performance areas –- most notably and significantly in initiative and reliability. The “nice” narrative emphasizes performance in collateral duties, but in the grades and marks, the CO is telling the selection board and detailer loud and clear that this officer is lazy, unreliable and not suited for command. 3 SEP 68 (W.E. HARPER).
