I saw a picture with Glenn and Nelson with Kerry and several others all posed in their spacesuits. That's about official as you can get --

Well, in all honesty, that really does look like something my Chihuahua would take a leak on.

Mary Beth Cahill says that the photo was leaked by someone at NASA,Somehow I have a hard time believing Kerry was unaware the photo would be released.
Everything gets released eventually, especially three months before a national election and the subject, JohnBoy, is dressing up like an 8-year old dork.
Why would he even agree to take off his street clothes and put on those special space clothes?? It's not a 3 second switcheroo.

This is a "leak" only if this is an official NASA photo. If an individual took the photo, then they can release it just like the New York
Times.
And if it is an official NASA photo, what does it really matter if it is "leaked" or officially released? Did the Kerry Kampaign have an agreement with NASA that the Kampaign would be allowed to clear the photos before release?

And the TIMING Of the leak is SO suspicious, right Mary Beth? Why, this must be an evil plot by those freakishly right-wing NASA kooks.
Please. The flaccid JFK-manque was clearly mugging for the camera in every single shot, bunny-suit and all. There is no way those images were anything but publicity stills.

"He obviously posed for the picture."
Yes.
It was probably an official NASA photographer. NASA wouldn't let civilian reporters trample around there.

Bush's drunk-driving conviction was leaked prior to the 2000 election. Where was Mrs. Cahill then?
To: bitt
That's complete BS. Kerry POSED for those pics, including one with John Glenn and others.

There are several photos released by NASA, showing the Senators having a good time - usual NASA pr for itself.

I think you are right. And now that we're on the subject.. I didn't see whatsoever that Clinton admin, 8 years, ever did anything positive for NASA. Including!!! Anything constructive, for example, when Chinese Satellites were knocking out/intercepting ours? ahem.
