Mary Beth Cahill says that the photo was leaked by someone at NASA, that there were no official photographers and no campaign plans to take any photos.

So why go? The whole point of the exercise is campaigning. If a candidate falls in the forest, and an AP photographer doesn't click the shutter...
OK, let's confirm/deny with John Glenn. I don't think he will be in such lockstep that he would actually lie. I could be wrong though.

I'm very pleased to hear this. I worked at the 'rocket ranch' for a goodly number of years and there are lots of good, intellegent folks there. They know a gift when they see one.

Are they saying they didn't know their pictures were being taken, or that NASA took the pictures and weren't supposed to release them.
If that's the case, then why take them?

NASA did not give the photos to the press, but the press must have gone to the NASA website and looked at the pictures that the Kerry campaign approved. Hah!
Now he's crying like a baby because he doesn't like the pics.

Liveshot should expect this sort of thing and needs to understand that leaked photos are irrelevant since he will always look like a dork.

These people really believe the electorate is gullible. Then again, Clinton got two terms...
