This shirt if being offered on the Planned Parenthood website.
A more accurate version...
Another comment, credit to another poster on a different thread: "I'm a murderous bitch."
I went to the site to verify and couldn't find that shirt being offered - has anyone seen it?
Did you click on the link?
Now I did - I originally searched the actual site - the link goes through Yahoo. I wonder why it wasn't obvious directly from the site?
". These soft and comfortable fitted tees assert a powerful message in support of women's rights."
Too bad that little baby that was "soft and comfortable" suddenly got ripped out....well..as long as the faux Mother is comfortable and has a powerful message...guess that is all that matters. (do not insert picture of aborted baby here )
While I understand the sentiment, it generally takes two to abort--it has always been my theory that men are more eager to dispose of their "consequences" than are the women. That's why the statement--"If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament"--is doubly ironic. It is a sacrament (to the liberals), men *can* "get pregnant"--and is available to serve mostly men...
Sorry, but men have NO choice in the matter. None, zero, nada, zilch, nyet, nein, non, absolutely NOTHING to do with whether a woman has an abortion or not.
*IF* my wife wanted to have an abortion, and I didn't want her to, there's NOTHING I could do to stop her.
Now, I'll agree it does take two to abort, the woman and her doctor - the man/Dad/spermdoner has no choice in it.
First--I know who makes the decision legally. That's obvious enough--who holds the legal responsibility. Though, I'm not so interested in legality here as who is behind the scenes urging the woman or girl to dispose of an inconvenience and applying pressure. I point, also, to recent media murderings of women who have a pregnancy inconvenient for some man.
Now, I understand where you are coming from, however, the woman has the only say-so in the matter, really.
Sure, the "dad/doner" can push, cajole, whine, threaten, etc., but the woman is the one who has the abortion. She's the one that signs "on the dotted line", so to speak.
I'm not saying someone isn't coerced into it, but just like the "One is Enough" story, (in reverse, actually), the final 'authority' lies with the woman. This from my male perspective, at any rate.
I wrote a nice letter to a band/singer (Brad/Shawn Smith) I like. Stupid, I know. They ONLY sell their new cd's on their own website, and when I went to look at the new CD - I found on the news page a story about how they were playing a PPhood benefit. I sent a polite letter asking them to reconsider, and to look into PPhood.
Talk about deaf ears. I received a one sentence reply for my trouble ... "Sorry to say... it is time you burn all our records."
Hubby thinks I should sell their CD"s I have and donate the $$ to pro-life groups, and send them the confirmation of the donations. I imagine they must wear these t-shirts on stage... being rockers and all I suspect they're responsible for more than a handful of abortions all on their own.
