Outside of all the illegal activity by the police in this story, I'm sick of these stupid politically correct euphemisms. What ever happened to "suspect"? In one article, the police spokesman stated that they couldn't be sure whether the gentleman, or somebody else, actually fired the shot. As such he's not a "suspect" in the legally binding sense of the term.
