I hope the citizens have enough guts to press this all the way, and get some remuneration for the clear violation of constitutional rights these jack-booted thugs perpetrated. That Police Department sounds like it needs a thorough clean-out, from top to bottom.

Apparently they have decided they are a law unto themselves. Time for them to lose their jobs.

If they have bonds (which I believe they are required to) you can sue them. I don't think the bonding agency will be very happy with this but it will apply a lot pressure. This is nothing but the police state flexing it's muscles. What cracks me up is watching Cops and the Police officers always say that they "just want to help people".

It would be nice to think that they would press it all the way, but the reality is, they probably won't. Too many people these days accept and do whatever they are told...they fall into this "well, it's an inconvenience, and it's wrong, but as long as they catch the guy, they are making me safer" trap..
