Does anybody know who the actual author of the report is? I know they all signed off on it, but I don't know who wrote it.
Unfortunately, the report doesn't say who actually wrote it. They call it a joint effort, but the writing style suggests a single author in the descriptive chapters.
There was a large staff in addition to the Commission members. Undoubtedly, some of those were responsible for actually doing the writing. Their fields of expertise are mentioned, so you can speculate.
I hope everyone here at least tries reading the report. You'll find it incredibly informative. Much is in there that has not been clear to anyone other than the most avid follower of the news, and even to them there is probably much to discover.
I was surprised to hear that it is believed that the passengers started to revolt one of the "tower" aircraft, for example... a bit too late to do anything, but they were not just being sheep, apparently.
