THE DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION -- THEATRE OF THE ABSURD
ICONOCLAST ^ | TERRY PEARSON

Posted on 07/27/2004 6:41:48 AM PDT by Apolitical

One thing the liberals in America hate worse then Rush Limbaugh is a Canadian taking up the fight for the cause of conservatism in America. Trust me, I read the derogatory views of the democratic underground. I was even swamped with hits on my web site, because I mentioned the "R" word. No not Republican, but Rush.

Here in Canada, Canadians have chosen a liberal minority, which means there will be another election soon. To move a country from the extreme left to the right of center, in a matter of six months, was asking a bit much. But you know, we damn near did it. Since we have a short lull in the battle here, I thought I would take the time to help my American friends.

I just want to let you know, that as a Canadian I love Canada. But I also love America, more than Michael Moore and many Democrats, which is why I want to see America have the best.

I watched the Democratic convention, live on CNN, broadcast from Boston's "hermetically sealed Fleet Center." Since the CRTC, better know as the Communist Radio Truth Commission, shut FOX News out Canada, you folks in America can guess how much trouble I had to contend with, just wading through the liberal propaganda.

Election buzz words are very much the same in the US, as they are here in Canada. The liberals parrot the very same message of a positive hope, and an important election. We also share a common problem. That is getting the people out to vote.

One thing we differ on, and that is when we have a judicial recount, we here in Canada except the results, then get on with life. This issue was bought to the convention floor. The Dems still whine about President Bush being appointed. It's very much a hypocritical and stupid accusation, since if it was Bob Dole that was "appointed," you know very well that the liberals would then have you believe that it was democracy in action.

The Democrats want Americans to think that they are all united, but when it comes to the war in Iraq, former President Jimmy Carter, and Howard Dean wouldn't go there. Depending on the weather, John Kerry might, might not, and if he did, he wouldn't do what Bush did. What would Kerry do?

Hillary Clinton wants to increase the strength of the armed forces for the US. But Kerry voted to decrease the strength of the armed forces, while at the same time he jumped up and down on the senate floor screaming for Clinton to go to war, because of weapons of mass destruction. But even so Hilary say's, Kerry is the one. Hang on to your hats folks, this is going to get better as we go.

Jimmy Carter (he's the man of peace and compassion) made a priceless comment. He said that you can't be a president of war and a president of peace at the same time. Hasn't he heard John Kerry on the campaign trail? Kerry has made it clear that he can be anything you want, but more than anything, Kerry wants to be president at any or all cost.

Consider this! When Ronald Reagan, "the war monger," got elected, peace broke out around the world. The US embassy hostages in Iran then became a hot item. When the final votes were tallied and Reagan won, they couldn't get them out of Iran fast enough.

In his speech, Carter made it known that Kerry went to war in Viet Nam, while Bush didn't show up. At least Bush put on a uniform, while Clinton dodged the bullet completely. Americans wanted one of two things from that war, either win it or get out. What they didn't want is some guy undermining the cause, with a sympathetic approach toward the enemy. That's a war hero?

George Bush was the first President to declare an all out war on terrorism. That took a lot of courage. Does the world hate America because of George Bush? We certainly know that the freedom bashers, around the globe, do. But that's not the world. Everywhere and anytime, there is a trouble spot in a country, the world calls upon Americans to sacrifice their sons and daughters, in order to solve the situation. Rather than being thankful for their freedom, the left wing element around the world, including in America, regard America as an imperialist bully......

Drudge has posted the Mainstream Media Network viewership ratings for monday night's Democrat Convention and they are in "free fall" state. I actually thought that Monday night would be the strongest night because of the Clinton presence. If that holds true, this convention in total will be a failure! I really doubt that after hearing Bill Clinton's speech last night anyone is going to sit throught the totally boring delivery of John Kerry. I have to hand it to Bill and Hillary. They gave terrific acting performances, pushing John Kerry, while all the time they knew they would make him look like the whimp he is. Hillary is going to run in 2008! The Clintons are going to take Kerry and Edwards down! Of Course, they are also getting some unwanted assistance from that nut case, Teresa Heinz Kerry. I plead with all Freepers to watch only Fox News, if you must watch this charade. I want to see MSNBC below the toilet bowl line! The American people have the number of the "911" causing Democrats!

Best lines award for this article:

Since America was the very first nation in the world to declare war on terrorism for the first time, there is bound to be mistakes made. Kerry's approach is: I may have gone to war, depending on what the polls said that day, but I wouldn't have done it the way George Bush did it.

This is very much the same scenario as the football quarterback who throws an interception in the Friday night game. He then goes to get a hair cut on Monday morning, and his barber says to him, "I wouldn't have thrown that pass." The quarterback replies, "Well if I had this long to think about it, I wouldn't have thrown it either."

That sums up Kerry nicely: when times are tough and time is tight, he "nuances" (how is that different from sheer panic?), and then comes out weeks, month, years later and says "I could have done it better." Like the author says, yeah sure, given how much time and new information you had to consider it. When the heat is on, you disobey orders, panic or both, and run your boat aground, putting your crew in mortal danger in search of a Silver star medal.

This is so analogous to what he would do with the country as Commander in Chief.

Carter made it known that Kerry went to war in Viet Nam

And Ted Kennedy sponsored him.

I liked this article. I kept looking for one point to emphasize but can't narrow it down. It is funny to see dems nod their heads in agreement about Kerry's vow to be tough on terrorism given Clinton's and Kerry's antiwar histories. We'll see if the people are truly dumb enough to elect a wimp in a time we need courage and a clear goal: protect Americans by keeping the war on terrorism away from the US while helping countries like Iraq free themselves from murdering dictators.

Great picture!. . .

. . .leading the way; so that others might follow. . .

Wondering where these people actually live; seems all they really need is 'room to roam' and a cave to call their own.

Can think of a couple of countries that could benefit by some tribal co-mingling; to the point of making them all peacefully irrelevant. . .

The attendees at the convention defy all logic. They cheer Clinton but deride President Bush.

They want us to sign onto the World Court, but would freak out if Clinton was indicted for cluster bombing Serbian towns.

They want more manufacturing jobs but cheer the thought of signing onto the Kyoto Global Warming Treaty.

Makes no sense at all and no sense in trying to figure them out.

He's their grifter, draft dodger, terrorist coddler, perjurer, and they love him!! He's their Bill!

I don't sit through the boring bull of ANY convention. They're completely stage-managed (yes, including the Republican one). Conventions used to have a purpose in that the candidate was actually chosen there. Not any more. What a waste of everybody's time, not to mention a whole pile of money.
