Why did he set August 3? I do not think it unlikely that he will call all his friends to register and disrupt, plus there is the possibility of plants that will pose as freepers and use vulgar and Nazi-like comments to make the site look bad.
Besides, Tommy Frank's book is coming out on August 3 and I intend to devote my day to buying it, reading it, and commenting on it here.

I agree. There are sleeper trolls on the FR. If he is looking for article bait, his sleeper troll buddies can come out and make some outrageous statement that would then appear in print.
I recommend limiting the thread to veteran Freepers, those who joined before 2002. That doesn't mean that those who joined after 2001 are of lesser quality, its just that they are mixed in with the riff-raff.

Threads about trolls and all the worries they encourage for some of our own loony paranoids is enough for a negative article.
This thread is full of bizarro paranoia not seen since the Clinton Administration!
If the guy, or anybody else, wanted to find strange or stupid comments, its not that hard to do around here. He needn't set up a special thread.
If somebody wanted to sign up and post things to make freepers look bad, they wouldn't need a special thread either.
It's like some people believe the big scary liberal will make them post things they later regret! Like he's mystical or something.
He's a liberal. He thinks his positions are correct and that he can defend them. I don't think he can. And I know he can't make me post anything I wouldn't stand behind 100%.
