Good afternoon, Arrowhead. Were you able to get all the parts you needed for you guys and their equipment? I hear you about the work issue. Catching up/keeping up is so hard to do. We've had overcast skies and a tad bit of rain for the last few days.

We've had overcast skies and a tad bit of rain for the last few days.

Our area FINALLY got our first rain in July this past weekend. My rain guage had just over 1" and the official guage at the airport had 1.74. That was a record for a 24 hour period (Saturday) for July. To think we had over 10" in June, and then so dry this month was hard to believe.

I was telling some of my co-workers about the sad shape of the golf course I live on. There is an area just behind my house that is between the road and #2 tee box. If anyone had thrown a lit cigarette on the grass, there would have been a fire. The grass looks totally dead.

Workers lower a ground-based missile interceptor into its silo at Fort Greely, Alaska, on Thursday. The interceptor was installed in Alaska's Interior — the first component of a national defense system designed to shoot down enemy missiles. Ten more will be installed by late 2005, launching the Bush administration's multibillion dollar system. Mark Farmer / AP photo

Semi amazing: The trailer of a big rig dangles by its rear wheels off the Channel 2 bridge on the Florida Keys' Overseas Highway, near Islamorada, Fla. The tractor portion of the rig, which hit a disabled vehicle, remained on the bridge. One person was injured.
