Jimmy Carter should not be lecturing ANYONE on Foreign Policy.

He is arguably the worst FP president since, well, uh, since, hey, I don't want to put down James K. Polk again.

There is no argument to it, he WAS our WORST foreign policy president and we have this war on terror to prove it. If he hadn't been a lily-livered chicken the ME might have been headed toward democracy. He could have changed the world and he blew it at every turn. And I voted for the stupid SOB. I just wonder how I was ever that stupid.

He's got James Knox Polk beat hands down. Under Carter, the United States stabbed Taiwan in the back, recognized China, gave away the Panama Canal and betrayed a loyal U.S. ally to install an insane Ayatolla in Iran.

James K. Polk's only foreign policy blunder is that he annexed only one-third of Mexico when we could have had all of it.

Why are you putting down Polk? He added a million square miles to the US, including California. On second thought....

You've nailed it! That's pretty much what I was yelling at my TV when he was speaking, except for a couple of things that would get this Web site shut down. If a schlub like that could become President, there's hope for every ape in Africa.

Drop the "arguably" and you'll get some agreement that Carter was THE worst foreign policy president of the US ever.

I think Polk was a great foreign policy president, however--one of the very best.

Worst during and biggest muckraker since leaving office.

Carter was there to be the "god" voice for the democrats. His use of "god" was an intentional effort to immunize the convention from all the ANTI-religion that is going to come (and was previewed tonight)

He does not mention giving away the panama canal.

He does not mention ALMOST giving away south america to the commies.

He does not mention his incompetence with the ecconomy.

He does nto mention his incompetence in negotiating with the USSR.

carter represents the FEAR of action that nearly destroyed the USA.

The French socialists hate the USA, they will ALWAYS hate the USA. Get over it.
