Washington, DC-Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie and Bush-Cheney '04 Campaign Manager Ken Mehlman announced Republican communications activities during the Democrat National Convention and unveiled DemsExtremeMakeover.com on a conference call with reporters today.

Starting this weekend, the Republican National Committee and Bush-Cheney '04 will launch a fully operational truth squad near the Fleet Center in Boston.

Each day will start with a 10:00 am event featuring Republican Senators, Representatives and Governors. The Republican response center will be equipped for around the clock satellite feeds and live uplinks.

Radio feeds with Republican surrogates will be fed out to hundreds of talk radio stations across the country. Briefing materials on John Kerry's voting record will be e-mailed to thousands of newspaper and internet news outlets in real time during all prime-time speeches.

Republicans are also launching a website chronicling the extreme makeover of John Kerry's voting record at: www.demsextrememakeover.com

"Democrats will be working very hard next week to give John Kerry's voting record an extreme makeover. If the Democrats' cosmetic convention succeeds in hiding John Kerry's record he could see a 15 point bounce in the polls," said RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie

"Voters are going to have a difficult time trusting the presidency to John Kerry when he has taken more positions than anyone can count on the most important issues facing our country. His convention makeover is a concerted effort to distance himself from a record that earned him the distinction of being the Senate's most out of the mainstream member," said Bush-Cheney '04 Campaign Manager Ken Mehlman.

Republican surrogates scheduled to attend the Boston Convention include:

Fmr. New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani
U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (KY)
Gov. Bill Owens (CO)
U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss (GA)
U.S. Senator Norm Coleman (MN)
U.S. Senator John Cornyn (TX)
Fmr. Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld
U.S. Rep. Henry Bonilla (TX)
Fmr. New York City Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik
Fmr. U.S. Treasurer Rosario Marin Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey (MA)
TX Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams
Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory
Puerto Rico National Committeeman Luis Fortuo

Beautiful!

I gave a large check to the Bush-Cheney relection campaign last week and intend to give another couple large checks the next time they call.

I am willingly giving up a vacation we had planned and spending $$ on the campaign relection of the president instead. My husband, who until a year ago was relatively a-political, agrees 100%.

Awesome! The very thought of those two morons in the WH sends shivers down my spine. Edwards reminds me of the character played by that commie, Martin Sheen, in The Dead Zone.

Doubt it. He's in treatment for prostate cancer still, I believe.

Jim, any chance of getting a separate and continuing heading for this website prior to the election?

He told the reporters on the plane, going was a last minute decision .. HOWEVER, a Freeper found out it was reported on Friday in the NYT ...

Terri Kerry told a Pittsburgh reporter to Shove It

The Dems are telling everyone to play nice at the convention and not to bash Bush

The Dems didn't give the media enough port a potties and they are VERY unhappy about it

Michael Moore is now allowed to walk the convention floor

Already had trouble with the demsmakeover site. Could not get the video to play.

I have had trouble with every bit of the GOP online activity groups. They need a computer whiz that insures that stuff will work. Or, it is me, or, we are being sabotaged.
