Armstrong shows what a truly talented person can do if he dedicates his entire life and soul to one single endeavor. Too bad he didn't dedicate a portion of that life to his wife and kids, especially after she stood by him through cancer.

It is the classic tale of wrong priorities. A loss and a family would have been a preferable outcome, in my book.

People just don't know the real story.

He married after his bout with cancer, he didn't even know her while he was so sick.

The woman who stood by him while he was near death, and indeed has stood by him throughout his life, is his mother.

Lance considers her his hero.

He may not be perfect in his personal life, no one is, but he's one of the great athletes, and did it after defeating cancer, which is an inspiration to many.

He has said he is devoted to his children. How can people reproach him for a divorce, when it's rampant all over the country? He didn't leave his wife for SC, they were having problems before that.

I agree. He should have devoted more time to his personal life. I am still glad he beat those miserable stinky French and German s.o.b.s
