In the case of the 14 musicians headed for the Palm Springs area, the moslem men were acting in a wierd manner, expecially disconcerting was the activity just prior to landing. It involved the bathroom, signalling others, and involved most of them at one point or another. They spoke in Arabic and basicly drove the other passengers to distraction.

The lady who reported these events was ridiculted in the media. None the less the FBI met the men and questioned them upon arrival. So did INS officials.

Lost in all the commotion, these men's visas were expired by three weeks. None the less, they were allowed to go on their merry little way.

A friend who comes to visit from northern California (65 year old teacher lady, red hair, blue eyes) is stopped every time for a "random search". Sounds like the profiling is against all us old American ladies, not necessarily the swarthy terrorist types who seem to have no trouble boarding planes because of political correctness.

If Norm Mineta and his family, Tom Ridhe, Condi Rice, John Ashcroft and/or the Bush twins et al would fly on airliners being screened with these standards- then it's OK for my family.

If Ashcroft Rice, Ridge and Mineta are not flying commercially to show their confidence in passenger saftey- - then it's not OK and should be fixed yesterday.
