Why don't they just go to the woods and stand between
the bears and the guns?

I have always been a conservative. Yet when it comes senseless killing of animals for some male gratification, I want to speak out.
I am shocked at the insensitivety of a freeper.

Sorry about the spelling. Why is spelling more important than content? A Bear Trophy is a stuffed bear head or bear rug.

I agree that shooting animals for sport when you don't intend to eat them is needlessly cruel and should be below the dignity of a human being. If respecting life isn't conservative, what is?

I guess I should add that the thinning of an overpopulated herd that is a threat to itself or to human activities is also fine, before someone nitpicks me to death.

Yes, there are bears in Maryland, and also in New Jersey where a bear hunt was held recently. The hunters that supported the Bear hunt in the woods of Allegheny and Garrett county are not laughing. Maybe soon you will be right and there will be no wild life left except bugs.

Please CALL GOV EHRLICH now at 1-800-811-8336 to state your opposition to Bear Hunt and ask him to veto the Bear Hunt Bears are just a more powerful kind of pit bull ...
cruelty to animals dontchaknow ...

We all know there has been a bear problem for a while now. Hell, my mother had a bear going through her trash last weekend, and she lives in Glen Echo(inside the beltway- about 10 miles from Gerogetown). And it's not pressure from hunters that's opening up a season. I can't stand the dishonesty from the anti's.
I'm a hardcore bowhunter and run http://www.marylandbowhunter.com. I'm trying to get this board jumping. I invite you and all huntin' freepers to make yourself at home and have some fun.

This is an indicriminate killing of bears for 'sport', not the killing or problem bears.1. There is absolutely nothing wrong with killing any animal for sport.
2. There is not such thing as problem bears. Bears are bears. They are animals. They have no intellect. They have no ability to choose. When bears come into contact with man, they become man's problem. That problem is solved by man, by killing bears.
3. Man should be able to live where he desires. If he desires to live where bear live, and bear become a problem, then he should be able to eliminate the problem. Until there is an open season on liberals in Montgomery County, I would suggest that you let man migrate to western MD. It is safer for everyone involved.</p?
4. Maryland Bears is sponsored by The Fund for Animals. The Fund for Animals, we speak for those who cant, is a bunch of socialist wackos more concerned about animals than they are people. Enough said.

Would it be ok for me to shoot one if I promise to eat it?
I shot one in N. WI a year ago and it was just fine eatin'
