The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Australia and Italy have received warnings through a statement purportedly from militants linked to al Qaeda that demanded those countries withdraw troops from Iraq.

I was told by a NYC LEO acquaintance of mine that many of the barriers and other security obstacles are going up now to give people time to adjust to the new pedestrian traffic patterns.

Glad the TM is back online as well. We're always going to have trolls stop by and try to disrupt TM. IMHO, best way to handle it is not to reply to such posts and stay on subject.

Time is getting short. The DNC convention is underway and the RNC will be gearing up shortly. Seeing as how the Dimwits are soft on terrorism, I don't expect their convention to be a target. I would expect the RNC to be targeted. Us GOPers are much harder on terrorism and not afraid to go on the offensive. Just my $0.02.

IIRC, they warn 3 times b4 striking.

The only act of terrorism at the Dim Convention so far has been Tahreeeesaaaah's speech.

A bit of a donnybrook yesterday, but nothing too series. Unfortunately, trolls and disrupters are not always easy to detect and they often morp and reincarnate under another name after they are outed.

This is an aspect that I haven't been able to get a good enough answer to. Since we are alledgely dealing with the same terrorist group, do you or anyone else know many warnings was given to Spain over what period of time? Can't put my finger on the timeline. Also the warning right after the 'truce' period stated there would be no further warnings, only the attack. Deserves monitoring

I posted that with some vague memory of the "3 time" thing. It may just be a junk theory.

How many warnings were there before the towers went down? I know UBL threatened us, but how many times?

I haven't been in town since the barriers went up. From what I understand, however, the barriers are there to control pedestrian traffic around Madison Square Garden/Penn Plaza, which is the location of the Pub convention. Although the convention is still a month away, LEO doesn't want to wait until the eve of the convention to put up the barriers because that would really create a mess between the newbies in town for the convention trying to negotiate unfamiliar territory and the regulars who walk the route every day and just want to get to their job, train, home, etc. By puitting the barriers up now, the regulars will have a chance to adjust before the out-of- towners show up.
