The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Group linked to al Qaeda warns of 'columns of car bombs'

Australia and Italy have received warnings through a statement purportedly from militants linked to al Qaeda that demanded those countries withdraw troops from Iraq.

WTF! Too much flaming or < tinfoil > did something get posted that shouldn't have been posted publicly?< /tinfoil >

I suspect an abuse button mønkey. I was posting up to 7 posts from the end, there was a little bickering, but nothing in my opinion worthy of pulling a thread.

I can't imagine anything that could have happened in the last half dozen posts that would call for pulling an entire thread.

OTOH, I'm not a mod, and I have neither all the information, nor the liability they have.

Ah..thanks for the reminder about the alternative sites. I had totally forgotten about thecabal's and didn't know about the Yahoo one.

Since thecabal has already done much of what I was suggesting, maybe we should just move the discussion over to that site?

What do you guys all think? The format of thecabal's site is very similar to what I was thinking - topics divided into sections vs. one big massive thread.

Or, is there a reason we want to "hang" at FR instead?

I suspect you are right, I was posting right up till the end myself. I think it had to do with the abuse button and a poster or two 'giving it' to the admin mod.

CIA says it has spies in Al-Qaeda

I would regard this as proof we don't.

With all due respect, I disagree. Look at the level of paranoia and the conspiracy mentality on the left. An attack on the DNC may lead to quite a bit of violance against the RNC and our system itself.

I disagree with the term "political agenda", unless you are thinking tactically.

I really don't see Boston being attacked - it just doesn't fit into AQ's political agenda.

I dunno. How would the libs react if Bush let the [censored] eliminate all their darlings (except, of course Hillary!™) in one attack?

It would be a political nightmare! Every radical on the edge would go over the edge. Imagine the havoc riots breaking out simultaneously in every lib-uh-rhul pest hole, with coördinated terrorist terrorist attacks added to the mix...

The problem was with 4 of the last 5 posts, IIRC. And yes, it was worth pulling the thread.

There's no doubt in my mind that they want to. I just don't see how they can pull it off with the level of security that's in place in Boston. NYC is another story - they could easily infiltrate in the form of a protester now that they know backpacks and bags will not be searched.

They may not have agents anymore, given this article. I REALLY don't understand why this information was made public, unless they want...

I would like a mirror archive site. One we can't write to, but can word search. One that doesn't vanish for reasons not completely clear to the posters. One that the mod can't be overwhelmed by false complaints...

Thecabal's site is at:

http://www.recursiv.com/threatmatrix/index.php

It appears to use the same Freeware BB that I was going to use, so we get a nice division of topics. Personally, I prefer that to wading through hundreds of posts per day, but maybe there are others who like the current setup better?

We can hope that it's enough. I know they've welded manhole covers, but I'm keeping a finger on it.

I'm also thinking about the standard tools they use. imagine a suicide vest going off inside that cage.

Thanks. I can't quite wrap my head around what could be so bad/sensitive in the last few posts that couldn't be fixed by nuking the offending posts, but that's why I'm not a mod...
