The Syrians ignored the sign about sitting down. It seems that you can't even ask a middle-easterner to take their seats during a landing in these pc times.
Huh?
What about the other people on the flight? I find it odd that not a single person has come forward to corroborate or to debunk the original narrative. Could all the other passengers have slept through the whole thing? Have they all been "spoken to"? What?
Only because you're insisting on missing the point.
My following point was that comparing the two stories is silly. One is in the past. We all know how it turned out. This one is developing. We dont know all of the facts.
...all of which is entirely irrelevant to the valid point he made, which you are either lamely dodging, or failing to see.
When I read Jacobsens version it seemed to be filled with an inordinate level of detail detail aimed at her perception of what was going on.
She's a *writer*. If she's like most, she's a keen observer of people and events, and can describe them in great detail later on paper.
It read like she had an overactive imagination.
It reads to me like like she was keeping a close eye on things and reported it well, including the observations which were key to supporting her conclusions.
Thats my judgment for now.
Such as it is.
Did you every figure which statement was true?
Did you ever figure out that you're acting like a jerk overimpressed by the "cleverness" of his misses-the-point remark that was silly the *first* time you made it, much less the third or fourth time you beat it into the ground as a cheap excuse to badger someone and childishly accuse him of "talking crap"?
The air marshalls say they checked the bathroom. One wonders when since these guys were in it almost continuously. I am a loyal Republican and like Bush, but I do not think he has done enough to protect this country. He should have fired Mineta long ago, and we need El Al type rules now-not after another plane is blown up. Also, our borders remain unsecured. President Bush views liberal immigration laws as a political tool to garner votes (mostly hispanic) and not a danger which it is. If the DNC is using airplane security as a talking point,President Bush has only himself to blame for keeping Mineta and not hiring someone competent. Of course John Kerry would be much, much worse so President Bush has my vote.
I remember reading in one story that un-named passengers had confirmed the story. The passengers are probably afraid of being called racist-a much worse crime in pc American than being a terrorist apparently.
Go talk to "old" air marshals...they were very stringent before 9-11, but after that...they had to beef up numbers, and they really opened the door extra wide. Some of the new guys are high quality, but a number of them are simply deputy-wannabes. I sat there in a airport lounge and watched some air "fool" put the play on some gal after the flight, and he even flashed his badge to prove he was what he claimed. It was the most stupid come-on I've seen in years. And the image of Barney Fife stuck in my mind, and I wondered...ok, maybe this guy can at least shoot straight. I will say that I think 90 percent of the air marshals are capable enough to take on a bad situation.
Or.....
What?
If these PC sons of bitches had allowed me to go through hell for hours because the sandmaggots had done "nothing", do you really think I would give a rat's elbow what they "ask" me to do or not do or say?
It's possible your horny little dweeb at the airport was in fact, ~lying~ to get a girl. Wouldn't be the first time. -And 90% high quality after a major expansion in force, from a fairly embittered critic like yourself ain't a bad success rate. Not that you had me all concerned.
Wouldn't you think the musicians would enjoy a little free publicity...I think it is strange that they havne't been talking to the press. They don't seem inordinately worried about breaking the rules at least on an airplane. If they are innocent and have nothing to hide why not get their name in the papers...might get some jobs.
Maybe at least a couple of the guys standing up, walking around and waiting in line at the bathroom were on our side eh? ~She's~ the one who told us who all the bad guys were. Was she right?
Should we round 'em up for not giving interviews to the press, Mr. President?
Nope, but we should check them out very carefully. I just think it's odd. Why isn't Cair whining about the unfair allegations against these musicians? Also, all the musicians I have known love publicity; it helps in the job department.
After hearing Glenn Beck relate the story about the "middle eastern" man who was in the lavatory for so long that an air marshall finally kicked open the door, I think I would tend to keep my eyes peeled and "overreact, too.
Oh, yeah.... that air marshall was a tad surprised at what he saw when he kicked the door open. The "middle eastern" man had taken the mirror off the wall and was apparently trying to carve a hole through the wall into the cockpit.
Glenn Beck added that he was a tad surprised that this story never got much attention....
I have no idea who is right. I hope to God, she was wrong. I just find the whole thing suspicious. Unfortunately, you don't know what to believe. It took the government months and months to admit the Egyption who shot people by the El Al counter was a terrorist. If these guys were terrorists, I truly don't think the government would want to admit this because it might hurt President Bush's re-election chances. Airport security is an area where President Bush is vulnerable because of pc Mineta whom I despise.
You would think this story would be on the front page..you would also think after this the air marshalls on the plane Ms. Jacobsen was on would be a bit more concerned about Arab men spending an inordinate time in a bathroom.
