JOE ALLOWAY PREDICTED WINNER OVER PAVLOV IN MICHIGAN 81 –POLL: JOE ALLOWAY’S EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE BEATS OUT PHIL PAVLOV

PORT HURON, MI, July 26, 2004 (NEWSWIRE) -- The latest poll of voters in this crucial MichiganState House swing District 81 has Joe Alloway-R (Port Huron Township) the predicted winner over St. Clair’s Phil Pavlov, and Yale’s Steve Pray with a greater than 9-percent margin. The poll of 600 likely Republican voters in St. Clair County Michigan’s State Representative District 81 countywide found Alloway with a solid lead with Education, Experience and USMC background over underqualified Phil Pavlov-R (St. Clair).

“Pavlov just does not have the experience, college or education… Alloway’s my choice to do the work this area needs in Lansing”, said Robert Newell of St. Clair Township.

Carol Whiting of Algonac said “Michigan needs legislators who represent future goals- Education and Experience are two Alloway meets over Phil Pavlov”.

With days to the August 3 primary, Democrats are “Getting Out The Vote” for Alloway too. Many Democrats worry the area economy is so bad that with Democrat Mary Patterson unopposed, they want Alloway and Patterson in an “even-matched race of experience and education” in the November general election.

Alloway is running against 14-month St. Clair County Commissioner Philip Pavlov of St. Clair Township and Steve Pray of Yale for the Republican nomination in the 81st District state House seat.

Rep. Lauren Hager, R-Port Huron Township, is being forced out by term limits.

The 81st District covers Berlin, Brockway, Casco, China, Clay, Clyde, Cottrellville, East China, Emmett, Grant, Greenwood, Kenockee, Lynn, Mussey, Port Huron, Riley and St. Clair townships; the cities of Algonac, Marine City, Marysville, St. Clair and Yale; and the St. Clair County portion of Memphis.

The Poll for service in the USMC also credited Alloway. Phil Pavlov was noted as not having a four-year college degree, or a veteran of branches of the US Military. The poll was conducted July 22-25 by PTM/UM. ### www.joealloway.com
