Set aside Republican speculation that former Clinton national security adviser Samuel "Sandy" Berger was trying to hide classified information from the Sept. 11 commission or that he had provided the material to the Kerry campaign. Do likewise with Democratic suspicions that the FBI's investigation of Berger was leaked to distract attention from the commission's report. Those concerns, all unproven, are partisan and secondary. Keep the focus where it belongs. Did Sandy Berger violate the rules regarding the protection of classified information entrusted to him, and if he did, will he be held accountable for his actions?

If I may ask, is your 'maub' browser Mozilla Firefox, or Explorer? I understand "bugmenot" works with Explorer but I haven't tried it with that. Works great with my Firefox.
"I just have a feeling that the "untouchable" veneer is wearing VERY thin. We shall see."
I hope you are right! This better be prosecuted.
I will be extremely disappointed in this administration if it is not, and will not be silent about it.
But I am hoping for better.
"BERGER AND THE CLINTONS ARE ABOVE THE LAW
only because of PRESIDENT BUSH'S AND ASHCROFT'S LACK OF LEADERSHIP TO ARREST THEM."
That's pretty much what I'm thinking. I'm hoping for more integrity, but because the malignant "New Tone" has so infected the system, I fear that it will trump the rule of law.
"...if this was truly a "leak", why on earth would the Republicans leak it just before the dim convention? It is sure to be overshadowed by all the upcoming media coverage."
The speculation is that Lanny Davis leaked it now speciffically to be overshadowed by the convention coverage.
C'mon. He was sloppy... the sun was in his eyes... he was sleep-walking... that's Sandy!... he needed toilet paper... he had an accident... the guards are Republicans... his dog ate them...
Speaking of dogs, I've always heard that the guilty dog barks first.
I think it was quite telling that the first person to come out loudly in defense of Sandy Berger was Bill Clinton, pathetically telling us all to laugh it off.
I think we have hit close to home.
What's apparently happening is that conventional wisdom now says that Berger isn't going to skate for Smugglegate.
So, the the word was passed down that the penalty should be limited to loss of Berger's security clearance. That's what this article is about: keeping Berger out of prison.
Yup. They say the perp usually revisits the scene of the crime shortly after it is committed. Clinton has always been denied the real, physical beating he rightly deserved(and secretly wanted) in his youth. This is why he continues to push his luck without fear.
Someday soon, maybe some patriotic American will be afforded the opportunity. ;>)
Yeah I use Firefox too. IE is simply too great a security risk, and too unstable as well.
The pop-up stopper feature with Firefox is great. But I wish I could find a 'spell check' plug-in/extension for it like "ieSpell". I'm not crazy about the default spell check we have below the tagline.
Holy cow, I don't know how that happened??? "maub" was supposed to be "main".
I have to find an HTML spell check plug-in for Firefox ASAP
Can't help you with that... I spell better than spellcheckers do =)
Three points: Now we'll see if the W administration and Ashcroft & Company have the stones to indict FatBurglar...
Secondly, anyone who has spent any time in a political campaign knows that FatBurglar was informed that this investigation would have to be "leaked" now! Better to have it come out now than in October. King, Dan "Lefty" Rather et al apparently haven't learned squat about politics after covering it for all these years if they think the Bush campaign would "leak" this now...they would wait until October.
And finally, I wonder how long it took FatBurglar to inform Ketchup that he was under invesstigation...some "security advisor"...this clown has about as much credibility as a screen door on a submarine!!! If Burglar received his JD from Harvard, then they must pass them our like candy over there, 'cause this moron doesn't have the IQ of an ice pick!

First of all, Burglar did NOT steal the docs...or Change the docs for KERRY....Burglar is a CLINTON man...not a Kerry guy!! Clinton is behind this and to say otherwise is either naive or to throw everyone off Clinton's scent.
Burglar started doing this in OCTOBER....Kerry had not WON the primaries then.
NOT ONE Media person has asked HILLARY about Burglar!!! Which leads me to believe they KNOW the Clintons were behind this!!
I strongly agree.
