Man Charged In Stabbing Death Of Estranged Wife

Jul 22, 2004 4:40 pm US/Central Minneapolis (WCCO) A St. Paul man was charged with murder in the stabbing death of his wife and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Moua Her was charged Thursday with 2nd degree murder in the death of 21-year-old Sheng Vang, his estranged wife who was found Sunday morning in a garage in St. Paul. She had been stabbed 63 times.

According to the warrant, she was found by Her’s mother, who did not recognize the woman, in the garage of the family home.

Her’s mother said she did not know who killed the person, but if the dead person was Vang, then the killer was Her.

Vang’s mother said that the marriage had started well, but that her daughter had told her within four months Her started beating her. The couple had a daughter together, but Vang had not been living with Her since March.

Her had assaulted Vang several times, most recently in March 2004, confirmed by a police report filed March 17.

According to Vang’s brother, Her had assaulted Vang with stun gun and knives and his sister often feared when Her would get up in the night, he was getting a knife to stab her.

Vang’s parents encouraged her to go to the Hmong Council about her marriage problems and according to Vang’s mother, the council had advised her to move back in with Her.

Vang’s mother said Vang was going to move back in but changed her mind when Her refused to speak with her parents.

Vang was searching for her naturalization papers when she went over to meet Her on Sunday morning.

The police believe Her may be traveling in a gray 2004 Honda Civic, with Minnesota license plates MJK 328.

If you see the car, do not approach it. Call police.

Hope the Hmong council thinks this one over for a long time. (Like your tagline!)

We don't have enough American mentally ill, so we've got to bring them all in from every part of the world. With all the people who would like to come to the USA --- why does it seem we're scraping the bottom?

"They come here for a better life, polygamy, and crime."

And their hero is Phyllis Kahn.

"State Rep. Phyllis Kahn, a 32-year veteran from Minneapolis and a key figure in the DFL House caucus, was stopped by New Hope police earlier this week after a citizen complained that she was removing a Republican House member's campaign literature from doorsteps and replacing it with a DFL opponent's material."

Phyllis also thinks that 13 year olds should have the right to vote, as well as the right of marriage between cousins in order to APPEASE the local Hmong community and their traditions.

If they take our guns away, can we use swords?
