The 'Taliban 13' U.S. Senators

We've reported how Sen. Patty "Osama Mama" Murray, D-Wash., wanted American taxpayers to dole out $30 million to the rabidly America-hating, woman-oppressing Taliban regime in Afghanistan. We promised to name the other 12 U.S. senators who agreed with her.

Not suprisingly, all 13 who urged Secretary of State Colin Powell to abet the regime are Democrats. Most are on the far-left fringe of the party.

In contrast with Murray's claims, "The United States is already the biggest aid donor to Afghanistan, despite its animosity toward the ruling Taliban Islamic militia, which it blames for backing terrorism, drug trafficking and gross human rights abuses," Agence France-Presse reported May 2, 2001, in revealing the senators' demands.

The Taliban Thirteen: Sens. Murray, Hillary Clinton of New York, Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer of California, Teddy Kennedy of Massachusetts, Patrick "Leaky" Leahy of Vermont, Barbara Mikulski of Maryland, Harry Reid of Nevada, Joseph Biden of Delaware, Russell Feingold of Wisconsin, Debbie Stabenow of Michigan, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, and the late Paul Wellstone of Minnesota.

1999-Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, (R-Cal), who has spent time in Afghanistan fighting with the Northern Alliance, received credible information as to the whereabouts of bin Laden in Afghanistan. He immediately contacted the CIA with this information. The Information was never acted on. During the Clinton Administration the Voice of America became known, within Afghanistan, as the Voice of the Taliban. “People go berserk when I say that Clinton supported the Taliban, but that is the truth.” says Rohrabacher.

One must proceed with a certain amound of caution when referring to US tax dollars being diverted into the hands of Osama bin Ladin.

If you will recall, George Bush Sr. piped millions through Osama when the Soviet Union occupied Afghanistan.

FYI.

So - to clarify the point here, one must FOCUS on just how the money was being used that was given to Osama during the Clinton years.
