I'm baffled how anyone these days can get away with overstaying a visitor's visa or cheating the system for an employment visa.

Especially from Syria! First it should have been very difficult to obtain a visa. Then the morning of the expiration date the INS agent should have been waing in a van outside their door. I still think that these guys were REAL musicians, and all that reaction to them in our media is HYSTERIA!

They acted pretty strange on a flight for legitimate musicians. If I had been on that plane, I'd have been near hysterical too.

Like someone on another thread said, if terrorists can learn to land planes, they can certainly learn to play instruments.

Agreed. According to immigration laws, it should be difficult for most to obtain a visa or remain after the visa expires.

We would not have as many problems with the hordes of illegal immigrants crossing our borders every single day if it were easy to obtain an entry visa.

However, the laws weren't applied nor enforced for the terrorist hijackers.
