As long as this Nation lives, we will never forget the brave Americans who took down flight 93.

For CNN to cast any doubts about the heroic actions taken by those brave Americans aboard flight 93 is unforgivable.

The terrorist scum who killed the pilot and took the control of flight 93 had plans to crash that jet into the Capitol or the White House, the fact that the terrorists failed that mission because a handful of True Patriots said decided to stand up fight and said "Lets Roll" even though they knew they would most likely die in the process, they deserve nothing less than to be honored as the Hero's they are until the end of time.

The plane, which had left Newark, New Jersey, for Los Angeles, California, at 8:42 a.m. carrying 37 passengers and seven crew members, received a warning from United flight dispatcher Ed Ballinger at 9:24 a.m.: "Beware any cockpit intrusion -- two a/c [aircraft] hit World Trade Center."

The message was sent by Ballinger to several aircraft to alert them of potential terrorists.

Two minutes later, at 9:26 a.m., pilot Jason Dahl appeared to be puzzled by the message and responded, "Ed, confirm latest mssg plz -- Jason."

"The hijackers attacked at 9:28," the report says.

I think that flight was shot out of the air. There were several witnesses who saw fighters(F-16's) fly low and high speed in the area. Its better for the families to think they were hero's, which they are for trying to save the plane but I think in an ultimate irony they were close to saving the plane when they were hit with a missle. Any plane heading for the white house would HAVE to be shot down.

I remember hearing that they had the whole thing in the blackbox but I never heard anymore, figured it was too bad for the families to let it out.

You act as if it's been said the F-16s had not been sent to intercept the plane.

It likely would have been shot down, but in order for your scenario to be accurate, the hijackers would have to have been in on the plot to create a coverup to make the families feel better by saying all of those things prior to crashing the plane.

What I don't understand is the idea, noted in the article and by some on FR, that the passengers intentionally crashed Flt93 in order to spare the intended target. This never made sense to me. Beamer et al were trying to *retake* the plane from the hijackers. I think that one of the passengers was a private pilot.

Anyway, their actions were heroic and an inspiration to us all. I'm happy to read that they struck fear into the terrorists. Thousands more terrorists learned to fear us before dying in the months afterwards.
