I missed the first bit of the 9/11 Commission's Interview...I believe, however, that no one asked what effect Sandy Burger's theft of obviously-essential secret documents would have on the effectiveness of the Commission's recommendations.
How can this be?
Maybe because everyone already knows it's a partisan hatchet job.
Not one "newsman" asked the question!!!!
How about a direct question to the Committee members on whether or not they read ALL of the drafts of the PDB in question in the TrouserGate affair?
It is easy, you pick the right people to be on the commission, folks who know how to play ball and then the commission concludes that they "saw nothing." This has worked many many times throughout history. The media reporters and their editors don't want to offend the really powerful.
The Commission's report is not complete without that questions being ansered.
Did you see that gay looking reporter ask the Commission "if they addressed the points that Michael Moore raised in his movie about Osama's family leaving America"?
I think it is becoming clearer that handwritten notes added to the drafts by Clintonoids were the items that Berger risked his future and liberty to destroy. We may never know what was in them.
It is also clear that the stream of 60 minutes interviews, Viacom books, and Media Hoopla over Clarke, Wilson, the Clintons and that other guy (Budget director?) were DNC/Clinton operations. Clarke wrote the drafts and Clinton's staff remarked on them in handwritten notes. If any of those notes refuted anything said in any of those books or worse - testified to in any of the hearings, then it would be a disaster for the DNC cause.
I don't buy the Kerry angle. He is a high and mighty dope - the real power brokers cause powerful people like Berger to break laws, risk personal freedom, and maybe even take a hot, metallic one for the campaign. This is so much bigger than watergate it makes me want to puke how the media is giving Berger such royal treatment.
I hope my kids someday will know what was in those notes.
They play Russian roulette with O*U*R security in their political games. Absolutely detestable.
