That would be incredible if so. Somehow he doesn't seem clever or courageous enough to outplot the Clintonistas. But you never know.

I remember all too well those clinton years when "Yes! THIS is the one! There's no way that this won't stick!" would be thought and said by myself and many others, all in reference to either one of the clintons or someone in their administration closely tied to them. Finally justice prevailed: Impeachment. Only to see the U.S. Senate look the other way, just like the law enforcement bodies that had jurisdiction in all the previous cases against them and those yet to come. This is all so familiar.

The Media and the DNC will soon make this nothing more than a footnote in the history books of the future.

I agree with harpo11 in post #35, and Michael Smith in post #64.

I want to be wrong soooooo bad .......

First of all,it is YOU,who keeps talking about your corresponding with Aaron Brown. You've done it several times on this thread and I've seen you do it on other threads as well.

Secondly,of naif, not only have I been on this forum far longer than you,I've probably been alive longer too.:-)

Please refrain from putting words in my mouth/lying about what I have said.It was NOT I who claimed that this is "BIGGER THAN WATERGATE";not on this nor any other Sandy Berger thread posted to FR.

The FBI isn't perfect. The FBI has managed to bungle things in the past.Yet,for YOU to assume that the FBI is going to now blow this case,is the absolute HEIGHT of naivete!

You've already claimed, with much assurances, that the MSM is and shall continue to ignore this. That isn't so.It's early days yet and it IS out there.

Were you even alive for WATERGATE? If so,were you older than 10?

Yes, that was not only Republicans involved, but the much hated and reviled Richard M.Nixon and with ALL of TGHAT,it took YEARS!

But what the hey......I've bookmarked the thread and it's somewhat amusing watching YOU digging your own grave.I have a very good(some would say superlative)memory.Let's meet up again, once this is finally all over....shall we? ;^)

I agree, and if President Bush or the White House is behind this leak, I say "Good for Them"

I say this because I remember the story of his 34 year old DUI case being plastered across the Globe on the Friday before the 2000 Election.

Politics is a contact sport and the RATS are getting a pretty good ass whipping on this one :-)

Do you just suggest we quit wasting our time and just let them steal any secrets and do whatever they want with them?

Or, are we to ignore theft when it involves the "elite" democrats of this country. As you know - the law is only for the little people and all conservatives?

It does not matter what the media does or says - they are not running this country. Right now - we are and I suggest we do it no matter who doesn't like it, who reports it, who spins it.

Desperation and covered in flop sweat.

But then, the Clintons ALWAYS think that they can get away with murder, because the do.Oh well.Sandy is expendable and I don't really think they'll get the Clintons on this one either.OTOH,Sandy's already admitted to the crime,so he's toast.

And let's hope it doesn't let up, they've had this coming for more than 12 years. If W lets up on this one, he's not the cowboy I think he is. Cheney and others may have a little payback due, too. If this goes as it should, they'll think f-you before it's all over.

Let me throw one other item into the pot!

Could he have removed documents pertaining to the TWA Flight 800 tragedy?

Remember, one of the 911 Panelists is Jamie Gorelick who just happened to take over and run the whole FBI investigation of the case. It was decided that it was "just" an accident.

Could it be that ripples are starting to spread since a retired airline pilot has filed suit in Los Angeles against Boeing and the FBI. He wants files released.

Ping. The story was leaked through John Solomon; John Solomon, incidentally, is under subpoena in the Niger/Wilson/Plame Leak case along with a number of other reporters. As we know, Wilson, the husband of the 'agent number 9' Valerie Plame, is also a Kerry staffer. Why did Berger's big news go out through one of the same reporters as the Plame business- apparently with the full approval of both Berger and his lawyer? Or is Solomon just a really popular fire hydrant to leak on?

Here are the subpoenaed reporters of Nigerlfap/Plamegate fame:

Robert Novak, "Crossfire," "Capital Gang" and the Chicago Sun-Times

Knut Royce and Timothy M. Phelps, Newsday

Walter Pincus, Richard Leiby, Mike Allen, Dana Priest and Glenn Kessler, The Washington Post

Matthew Cooper, John Dickerson, Massimo Calabresi, Michael Duffy and James Carney, Time magazine

Evan Thomas, Newsweek

Andrea Mitchell, "Meet the Press," NBC

Chris Matthews, "Hardball," MSNBC

Tim Russert, Campbell Brown, NBC

Nicholas D. Kristof, David E. Sanger and Judith Miller, The New York Times

Greg Hitt and Paul Gigot, The Wall Street Journal

John Solomon, The Associated Press

Jeff Gannon, Talon News

*******************************

According to another Freeper:

Someone from the RNC needs to point out, RIGHT NOW, that John Solomon of the AP (who 'broke' this story) is Lanny Davis' favorite leakee, and that clearly they leaked it now, to prevent embarassment to Kerry.
And the RNC should be demanding all correpondence between the Kerry Campaign, and the DNC, and from Bergers Lawyer to DOJ.

I saw his statement live and it was pitiful. I have a fear that he will fall victim to an "assisted" suicide before he's taken into custody and the rats will blame the Bush administration for causing his suicide. That's why the authorities need to take him into custody for his own protection asap before he's "Fostered".

It does not matter what the media does or says - they are not running this country. Right now - we are and I suggest we do it no matter who doesn't like it, who reports it, who spins it.

I am not even sure what you are getting at here - Did I ever once suggest this "shouldn't" be investigated - or that Berger SHOULDN't be indicted?? - No, I never once suggested either thing -

What I said was my opinion of how the media was going to kill this story - (which they are - go look at the big three networks news sites - the Berger story isn't in ANY of the lead stories on ANY of their sites - in fact, where it is mentioned within the sites it is about "the GOP playing politics" or "the timing of the leak" -)

My point being, I hope I am wrong, but I am willing to say....you won't see this story on any of the big three networks after this Sunday -

As for "what should we do"? - I seemed to ask that question myself early on in this thread - However, with the DEM's leaking this....it most certainly will effect how a prosecutor will handle this case going-forward - (it is now out in the political realm) - Which is why it was leaked when it was -

And understand the media KNOW who the leaker is? They know the person - so, I'm betting $ to donuts that it was Berger or a fellow DEM - yet the media (who know this) are still playing the game and spinning that it was probably a GOP leak!! - and how awful of the GOP for doing this! -

I can't feature it...help me out here...

Just that (IMO, of course) this story goes way beyond Sandy Berger, and that not only does the FBI have Berger dead to rights, but probably higher-ups as well. We just haven't heard the details (or the names) yet. When an attorney states that his client "knowingly" did something, it more or less implies that the client knew that he was engaged in illegal activity and was fully aware of the possible legal consequences of his actions. Attorneys in cases like these generally will not completely surrender like this unless they think they have something they can use as leverage to get a better deal for their client, something like a name of someone higher up.

Also, when dealing with a vipers pit such as the highest levels of the Toon Administration, the difference between one person's attorney and another's attorney is often a distinction without real meaning. These people's entire lives are so intertwined with one another through dirty little mutual deals and the foulest corruption that the attorneys are often interchangeable.

But then again, it's also entirely possible that I'm just talking out of my butt because there's still so much of this whole story that makes no sense whatsoever. We're only hearing about the tiniest fraction of what's really happening.

This story does'nt have legs..it has wheels now. It's now going to start running down hill for the Democrats. How many "former" Clinton mafiosos will come out to deny, delay and obfuscate??? America will be pissed. this is huge now.

>>One is that kerry knew about this...Or two, kerry was totally in the dark...Either way kerry looks like a total fool!!

Apparently looking like a total fool in the dark is the lesser evil. Which suggests that whether he knew before, or he knows now, WHAT he knows is really, really bad.

He told Tom Brokaw, "I had no clue." Berger didn't tell you? Kerry repeats: "I had no clue." You can find this interview on video at:
