Would someone please tell me how it is that "her husband drove her to work each day", but then they talk about "her" car being found at the edge of the park?

Let me guess: they shared a car? Okay, so when the CAR wasn't there that morning, he didn't notice?? For, like, 3 hours?

(I guess a guy could overlook his wife not being there... but his wheels?)

I've met Dr. Hacking. He's a pediatrician. I've taken my grandkids to him a couple of times. I very nice man with a good family. How devastating this must all be to him, as well as the girl's family.

I don't know much about the case, but to play devils advocate: If his wife gets up early to jog and then wakes him up (my wife does this. I don't even set an alarm for me) and he usually drives her to work, but on this day he wakes up on his own....late. He would probably wonder "What the heck is going on?" "where is she?". The first place you look is where they would most likely be. If it is 0900 and she goes to work at 0830, you would probably call her work to see if she was there and why didn't she wake you. Like I said, I don't know, just an observation.

...But his father, Douglas, said at a press conference Wednesday that police had confirmed his son had never even applied to school.
In fact, Hacking never graduated from the University of Utah and hadn't attended the U. in nearly two years, even though his family believed he had graduated with honors with a degree in psychology.
The University of Utah confirmed Wednesday that Hacking was a student from 1999 into the fall 2002 and majored in intermediate psychology but never graduated. He works at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute at the U. Research Park.
Also Wednesday, KSL-TV said Hacking was admitted to the University of Utah psychiatric unit earlier this week after his wife's disappearance. His family has only said that Mark was "resting" with his father and brothers.
Salt Lake police would not comment about Hacking's whereabouts or confirm he was admitted for psychiatric care, although detective Kevin Joiner said, "We know where he is."

...On Tuesday, when investigators spent "a good portion of the day" in the Hacking's apartment, "some items" were taken as evidence, although Salt Lake City police detective Dwayne Baird declined to identify those items.
Neighbors said they saw police carrying items such as computers, boxes and mattress springs out of the house. I agree. I can't count the times I heard someone quesdtion his motive by saying "well, why didn't he just get a divorice?" But a divorice and child support was exactly what Scott was trying to avoid.

IMHO, I suspect that the constant cable news attention to the Peterson case and their constant commenting that Peterson is going to walk may have influenced the husband to believe that he could murder his wife.

Just my opinion.........when I heard the father say that his son wouldn't go fishing without his wife.

The comments about simply getting a divorce reminds me of the tragic NJ case. John List of Westfield, murdered his children, his wife, and his mother because he had financial difficulties.

I heard that he usually goes jogging with her, he claims she asked him to go that morning, but had planned to go on a bike ride instead.
(sounds like, "I was going golfing, but went fishing instead.")
I'm praying for Lori and her family.
I'm also praying that it turns out that the Hubby had nothing to do with her disappearance. I would hate to think that he thought he could pull a Snotty, seeing that the TH's are speculating that Snotty may walk.
