Linda Ronstadt has made it clear she will continue inserting her vitriolic political commentary into her concerts. I think the the venues hosting them should know that customers like us go to concerts to hear music and be entertained not lectured, screemed at or propagandized. If we want politics, we will turn on the news or read a paper. Let these venues know that we will cancel are tickets and refuse to see any more Ronstadt concerts until she performs as she was hired to do and why we bought tickets. Mention that you intend to tell your friends, relatives and family about this.
I could only find a couple more appearances in the Ronstadt Concert schedule through September, it appears she is taking August off.

I understand that Linda Ronstadt will be performing at your venue. Recently, Ms. Ronstadt has been making inappropriate political remarks and comments during her concerts. When I go to hear a singer or band, I go to be entertained, not lectured to. This is not a free speech issue, it is a customer issue. If she wants to express her political beliefs, let her schedule an event to do so, but do not allow her to turn what is advertised as a concert into a political side show.
If Linda Ronstadt wants to be a force for political change, let her run for office, until then I will not be paying good money to hear my beliefs criticized and belittled, and, I will telling my friends and family to do the same.

Rhetorical question, for the libs: If a conservative singer had gotten up and dedicated a song to Rush Limbaugh, or used the stage time to preach about Jesus Christ, would you still be as supportive?
I would support the customers right to be outraged at the bait and switch and further believe they have the right to boycott future performances if the entertainer continued to insult their patrons.

She also stated she is uncomfortable performing in front of conservatives and Christians. Am I supposed to then feel comfortable paying $40 for a ticket to her concert? Your headliner just dissed 75% of the people in this country, how many of them will drop their support?
Let's turn the tables for a moment and insert "gays" and "jews" instead of conservatives and Christians. You'd call her an intolerant nazi and drop her butt in a minute. I'm betting that won't happen here because she only expressed bigotry against Christians and conservatives, fair game for any foul mouthed entertainer.

Nothing but a cop out Melanie. You most certainly are responsible when entertainers express these beliefs at your venue during and engagment you are paying them to attend. Would you book Louis Farrakan and the nation of Islam knowing they are virulent anti-semites? I doubt it. But I also doubt anything will be done about Linda, kicking Christians in the teeth is as acceptable as when Romans were sending them to the lions.

I'm convinced that most of the reason Ronstadt, the Dixie Chicks, et. al. make these public statements at concerts and the like, is to increase their standing with the Hollywood Lefty social scene they (in Ronstadt's case)once travelled in, and long to be readmitted to----(just imagine how I'll be greeted at the next party, she's thinking).
They know it'll probably alienate half the audience, but apparently that's not too steep a price to pay for the social benefits.
I saw a pic of Michael Moore from the same 70s period as this Ronstadt pic #90) and amazingly he looked just like
Keanu Reeves. Time is not kind to Lefties. Look at Ted Kennedy....and the list goes on.....
IMHO, they make these comments because the circles they travel in absolutely do not challenge or criticize them. They live in a lefty vacuum. They are genuinely surprised when it bites them in the ass. It is evidence of the total and complete dominance the left enjoys with Hollywood.
It makes the whole diversity thingy quite comical.
Anyone you hope wouldn't go based on this campaign already knows and won't go. Better to let her carry on than to be make her a victim. She may learn a valuable lesson if she doesn't have an excuse like "It was the Freepers fault".

I'm glad Ronstadt outed herself. I have no intention of giving anyone who advocates for my enemies my entertainment dollars. It's not even a matter of Shut Up and Sing. These people are my enemies and are aiding and abbeting those who are making my country less secure.
Every time you spend your money, you're voting in an economic sense. So I want to know exactly which of them are Leftists so I can direct my money elsewhere.
These "entertainers" are no better than Tokyo Rose as they serve the same purpose as she did.
