Latest I read was "observed." What really ticks me off is that he was allowed back in to do more damage. He should have been arrested IMMEDIATELY! The "sloppiness" seems to ooze over into the Natinal Security Library. Disgusting that ANY organizatin would be so dense as to put ALL copies in the same place... >:(

Let's hope they are trying to cast a wider net than Sandy Berger...There seem to definitely be witnesses to his actions.

Are there micro-film copies of all documents? Can't they tell which were "lost"? Clinton is behind it all. Berger was just following orders. We must find out! The Reps., are not tough enough. This must not blow over. This was no mistake!!!

Kudos to the staff for the "sting" operation. Anybody know where the 9/11 widows (the left-wing ones) are on this story?

Whaddya bet Bubba perjured himself again in his 911 testimony and sent his stooge in to grab all of the evidence?

Can't tape what goes on in a SCIF, because the tape would show things like codewords stamped on document covers (easily readable from a short distance). The tapes would themselves then be highly classified, and be of no use to anyone. Other people saw what Berger was doing, but for some reason or another (fear of Arkancide?) didn't directly confront him. This was an error on their part IMHO. Why not catch the crook red-handed?

But he should not have been allowed in the reading room with his briefcase? correct?

Unless it was a "sting"...and they wanted to definitely prove the guy was a thief!!!and a chronic one at that! LOL

Storage devices like that have to be checked at the entrance, and there is no way he would be allowed to have it with him. You can't even bring a cell phone in with you, or a cd-player/mp3. These are all 'storage devices'. They can be used to 'store' documents. Big no no. So he would have had to put the docs in his briefcase AFTER he came back out. Which means he had to move them from where they 'accidently' fell into his pants and socks and 'inadvertantly' slip them into his briefcase after the fact. Lotta oopsies goin' on out theah!

And if the archivists thought to 'sting' him, they screwed the proverbial pooch. You don't mess around like that with classified.

Yeah, but what if it wasn't the document, it was hand-written notations on the document? That's why they make multiple copies, isn't it?

THAT'S THE POINT. These WERE copies of the DRAFT report....but they had the hand-written notations of all the people in the administration who contributed changes to it, featuring items to change/revise. Bergler stole THESE copies, some of which never came back, apparently their notes lost forever.

This is also why they use the defense of "The report was not withheld from the commission." The commission did get it-- but something in those notes was important enough to steal to hide.

Was Bruce Lindsey aware of the stolen documents before the FBI? Did he report the crime?
Is he a co-conspirator? Did he aide and abet the crime?
Is there a Grand Jury or other investigation? Has Lindsey testified under oath?

Several copies of the SAME REPORT stolen?

NO ACCIDENT. This was done WITH INTENT.

The clinton crew knows we know, and doesn't care.

Finally someone gets it! ... the 'why' would Berger steal so many 'copies' of the same memo. There must have been some very damning mrginal notes on those copies that circulated among the criminal clintoons.

Something doesn't make sense here. Berger steals the documents in the fall (Oct.). Ashcroft presumably doesn't have time to just go reading through documents from a previous administration. He has, at least, seen the final report, which is somewhat damaging to the Clintons. Quote:

The after-action review became the topic of public discussion in April when Attorney General John Ashcroft mentioned it in his public testimony before the September 11 commission. "This millennium after-action review declares that the United States barely missed major terrorist attacks in 1999 and cites luck as playing a major role,"

Were the drafts, hidden from Ashcroft, even more damning? What can be worse than, "We just got lucky?"

Maybe an admission that some of their own policies screwed their ability to do anything? Maybe there are hints that they deliberately did nothing?

Beckel also thought that paying off an internet whore for her silence was a good idea. Until the whore demanded another payment.

My mind is entertaining the possibility that notes made by various cab members upon circulating memos implicate TWA 800 and or Oklahoma City as terrorist (Islamic) acts that needed to remain obscured relating to the millenium plot. Berger planting false documents is another distinct possibility. The'most ethical administration' has proven itself to be a vast criminal enterprise still infecting this nation. It appears the disease is fully formed in the entire democrat leadership!

"Beckel also thought that paying off an internet whore for her silence was a good idea. Until the whore demanded another payment."

I have a vague recollection of that, but thats all.

I do know Beckel underwent treatment since his attempted bribery of Electoral College members...and that Cal Thomas was the "driving force" that got him to dry out.

Wish him well, but I don't see how anyone can take Beckel seriously at this point. But they will.....
