CASTRO SNUB TO SIEGFRIED

MORE pain for tiger-mauled Roy Horn: He's devastated that a troupe of 53 Cuban musicians and dancers he and partner Siegfried Fischbacher hoped to bring to the Stardust Casino in Las Vegas next month have been refused visas by dictator Fidel Castro. Horn first saw the show, "Havana Nightclub," last September, before the on-stage attack that nearly killed him and closed his long-running show at the Mirage. The Cuban show has since become one of his highest priorities, according to producer Nicole Durr. "We are still hopeful and confident the show will go on," says Durr, who is challenging the visa ban. "Siegfried and Roy put their name to this because they think there should be no political boundaries when it comes to art and dance." Durr adds that Horn's rehabilitation is coming along: "It's incredible. I speak to him every day and his recovery should be an example to everyone everywhere that where there is a will, there is a way." Siegfried and Roy have written to President Bush begging the U.S. government to help expedite visas for the performers.
