He may be guilty of nothing more than poor judgment but people who display poor judgment are exactly the people we don't want to see entrusted with our national security.
My guess is Tony B. didn't grow up on a farm.
I'm sick and tired of Democrats breaking the law and getting away with it. Republicans should grow spines and demand that he be charged.
I am hearing a tone from all pub commentators on this issue that sounds like a memo went out to softpedal, underplay, etc comments of accusation.
I am thinking of Senators stepping up to the cameras yesterday, Bush campaign official this morning on the radio with Steve Malzberg, and this article by Tony Blankley.
Are you reading/hearing this same theme, JH?
Absurd?! Hah! He was National Security Advisor during Chinagate. At best he kept his mouth shut and helped cover for that treason. I guess I'm old fashioned, but I certainly regard that as disloyal at best.
Also, David Gergen--"one the designated wise men of Washington". I used to assume he was OK because he was an advisor to Reagan, but I no longer trust him in any way. In fact when they trot him out to issue a wise man edict, I figure some important information is being suffocated or twisted.
IMO these "wise men" should be regarded as "wise guys"--operatives and front men for a crime family. Yes, there are criminals and traitors in both parties. The ones who pretend to be Republican are the most dangerous IMO because we tend not to question them as quickly as the more obvious perps. The Enemy Within is not stupid and it would be foolish to believe that they have not infiltrated our party.
Hasten the day.
